Ahhh pc fanboys. The ones that think power=best. The ones who think that everyone has 2000$ to spend to play video games. When will they learn? Not everyone still lives with their parents who buy them anything they want.

If you spent 2000 including peripherals, you got ripped off.
-
Not necessary I've put over $5000 into my PC but that's just because I had the money to spend on it. All depends on what you want.
-
What's your setup?
-
Tower: cooler master storm trooper MOBO: crosshair v formula-z CPU: AMD 8350 GPU 2X gtx 770 4gb classified RAM: Corsair vengeance 4x 4gb 1866 Strike 5 keyboard Thermaltake level 10 m mouse Larkooler Sky water 330 PC liquid cooling system: custom loop. I7 4790k Asus RANGER 8 mobo GTX 970 (Two way SLI) 16GB HYPERX Fury RAM 2600 EVGA 650w gold My cooling system consist of some paste and a CPU cooler I can't remember the name of - I just "whatever clicked" a decent quality one All neatly packed in a Corsair 200r As for peripherals, Logitech G600 mouse Saitek Cyborg keyboard Logitech 506 sound system Acer GD245hq - it was a triple monitor setup, but I had to give one away to a friend. So just a double now. Didn't at all cost me 5k, though :P
-
Nice! I had the money so I felt like spending it haha. I'm up in Canada also products do cost more up here which sucks. A 970 up here costs $500 depending and the brand.
-
Editado por Psyntifik: 1/12/2016 4:59:18 PMYou were using Canadian dollars? Now I understand. Crossed wires. All is untangled :p How long ago did you buy that build?
-
Editado por Mr Pillow: 1/12/2016 5:18:34 PMProbably should've specified that haha! Coming up on two years now. I bought the parts between February and March.
If you spent 2000 including peripherals, you got ripped off.
-
I spent under 1000 on my pc I paid for it all by myself with the full time job I have and it's a powerful pc with a gtx 970 and i7 processor
-
Then there's games and a monitor and a decent keyboard and mouse and you have to update the computer. I'm not stupid I have one
-
But you have to buy a monitor and games. That's not a valid argument.
-
Mm yes it is. You can have a great Xbox setup with games and everything you need for 800$ or less.
-
Editado por Psyntifik: 1/11/2016 10:44:06 PM:O 800 is just a bit less than what I paid, yet I have much higher quality gaming. Sure, a lot of it can be preference, but there's no denying that PC gaming is great value for money. I have both, but I can't remember the last time I touched my Box.
-
Yeah pc is great. But it's too costly and the servers suck imo. That's the only reason I play Xbox over pc. I love playing online with friends with a mostly stable connection. I spent 350$ for the Xbox, 100$ for my headset, 100$ for a gaming chair, 150$ for a elite controller, and 60$ for xbl gold. 760$ total. And that's all preference. I could've spent 20$ on a headset, 350$ on the Xbox, and kept the default controller and used a chair. That's 370$ for a decent rig and quality of games. The reason consoles are worth it is because they give you the power of a 500-700$ pc
-
It's ultimately cheaper in the long run. And a console does not run the same as a 700 dollar PC. I've not had many server issues on PC at all :S
-
I have a 600$ dollar pic that runs much worse than my one. Very laggy playing games like ESO. I also have a 1000$ pc that runs quite a bit better than my one. Both have server issues playing online
-
Editado por Psyntifik: 1/11/2016 11:17:35 PMThen I don't think you put much thought into your purchase =/ And by "quite a bit" do you mean high-ultra settings at 1080? Because that's what's expected. Did you build them yourself?
-
I won't have to upgrade my pc for like 7 years and a good friend who got me into pc gaming gave me a monitor and keyboard so I didn't have to worry about that
-
It's not that easy for everyone
-
But even then you can buy a keyboard for like 30 dollars at Walmart and a monitor for like 150 and I buy all my games off of g2a.com I pre ordered rise of the tomb raider for 30 dollars
