I just love when I'm looking for players on the forums and I get discriminated against for being 16 because apparently being a child automatically makes me incompetent. The funny part is when your stats are better than the adults that post stuff like," Need two for trials, must have 1.3 kd, no kids." Then you find out they barely have a 1.0 and they won't play because you're young. Share your comments community. Ignorance isn't bliss.
***update***
The person refused to play with me because I was young, and didn't want to deal with "annoying squeakers". Even though at 16 you aren't one. People associate anyone under 18 a lot of the time with being immature and annoying. Some people may be, but it's not just kids. If you're comfortable with only adults, okay. You do you. But you shouldn't not play with someone because of your opinion on kids. Not everyone is that one kid that ruined your experience.

2 RespuestasIgnorant people are annoying regardless of age. Age shouldn't be an issue when trying to find a fireteam, but it is. I'm 35, and if I am joining groups I don't know, I always prefer it if everyone is kind of college age or older. Having said that, last time I used LFG I got into a raid team where I assumed everyone was at college (some of them were talking about their fraternity etc). One of them turned out to be 15, and like me had joined them from LFG. Just like your post, it reminded me that I shouldn't judge people so quickly.

1 RespuestaEditado por girflush: 1/11/2016 10:39:49 PMYou can be a great player or terrible player it doesn't matter. For most adults it's a matter of communication. Plus squeakers are more likely to scream, squeal, whine, complain, rage, blame, rage quit, teabag, use emotes, etc..so it's understandable why some want to steer clear of that.

1 RespuestaEditado por Oy le Bumbler: 1/11/2016 10:48:51 PM11 PM on a Friday I got a group together off LFG. Turned out one of the peeps who was missing all the good gear was a really young kid, like maybe not even a teen. I almost booted him out of hand before he even talked just cuz it looked like he mb never did HM and I didn't want to sherpa starting at 11 (as my bro was telling me from the other chair), but I felt bad and figured it best to give the kid a chance. Flying in, the kid starts going on about how he'll drop out if we wanna get someone else, he's totally cool with it, etc. I guess he joins a lotta groups and gets kicked out of hand, probably got a sense we were thinking of doing so as well from the lack of banter on the fly in. He was super nervous, but everyone in the raid group was chill and ok with him staying. End up getting through hm warpriest challenge with him, the lil guy did great. Spot on with his callouts on totems, sniping boomers, taking care of business. Only time he died was when he came in the back right with me on warpriest, and that was more my fault for not telling him I'll hang out back there alone and kill the adds as they spawn. He ended up leaving after warpriest cuz it was getting late I assume, but I couldn't help feeling guilty the whole time for even thinking about booting him. He followed instructions better than most of the adults I play with, and was a really nice lil fellow. Wish we had been able to get him through the whole raid, but he showed me the error in my ways for sure. TL;DR, give the the lil guys a chance, they might surprise you.

1 RespuestaAre you ever going to stop making these whiner posts. ? Has it occurred to you that the personality you display here is why you're discriminated against ?

3 RespuestasEditado por JacksGrapes: 1/11/2016 10:50:03 PMI hate playing with little kids. You would never be allowed on my fire team. For these reasons: 1. Because you are not good enough 2. Because you are a kid 3. You are a vagina who goes and bitches on forums 4. I am pretty sure you ride the short bus 5. (Subset of 4) - and you forgot to wear your helmet today / floaties

I never had any kind of age related problems like that. I've always kept those things discrete, it's a must-do online. Even if it means not using a mic.

1 RespuestaI was playing a raid yesterday and these people were taking trash about some jerk that just turned 16. I told them I did too and they thought that was crazy. NEWS FLASH, we aren't all jerks
-
2 RespuestasI just don't like the excuses everytime shit happens. Kids are full of them. You died, you f'ed up just admit it and we can move on and get stuff done. I also don't like the toilet breaks, the dinner breaks, the moms shouting at me breaks and the dogs sat on my controller making me die and he must need a walk break. I've genuinely heard this. I also won't feel guilty for swearing when I want too.

1 RespuestaI've seen mature 12 years old, maybe just your behavior that people dislike
-
1 RespuestaI had an episode where i did a raid with american kids who were probably 12-13 years old. The entire time they were screaming at eachother about who knew best (incredibly they were arguing the same point) but they were fantastic, easily some of the more skilled randoms i have ever played with. So i decide for my next run that i wouldnt say 'no kids' aaaaaaand right back to the same point of view. Under 18s being decent is the exception, not the rule.

1 RespuestaI played trials with a random and this kid was 11. His first game he had 16 kills. I'd play with him any time.

You are lying. You can not truly become a hero if you don't follow the path. You need to follow the hints and beat the new.

2 RespuestasYou'll understand when you're older

1 RespuestaPlayed trials yesterday with an English 12 year old. Didn't have a squeaky voice, and didn't get annoying a single time. He was more mature and a better player than most adults I play with
-
1 RespuestaSqueakers are fun, gives me something to do during raids
-
1 RespuestaHow would anyone know that you are 16 if you did not either A.) tell them or B.) act insanely immature? It's simple. If you are a younger human, simply act half mature respectful when playing with random people you don't bow and no one will care.
-
4 RespuestasMaybe these folks have kids and want a break from kids.
-
1 RespuestaI'll say this again,
If someone calls a self-proclaimed 15[16] yr-old a squeaker, chances are that they aren't 15.
1 RespuestaEditado por WolfgngBaethovn: 1/11/2016 10:35:54 PMTry making your own team

I prefer mature players...and you making a post crying about this just shows how immature you really are.
-
2 RespuestasSorry dude. There are some chill young people out there but 9 times out of 10 they are immature, talk too much non sense and argue with their mom on the mic. Kids are kids and that's fine but that doesn't mean adults should have to deal with them or have to watch their language while we try to unwind playing a game.
-
6 RespuestasThe overwhelming majority of young guys in this game are annoying, arrogant, and inconsiderate. I use LFG a lot and almost every time I get a group of kids they have like 10 people in the party with maybe half of them playing. They talk about literally anything other than the game. It's never their fault when they make the team wipe but they will whine about others. Blame your peers for ruining it for you, not the victims.

1 RespuestaKids who are ignorant also suck. I'm 15, and play with 50 year old guys all the way down to 13. The 35-50 year old guys tend to hate playing with any other people under their age group. It's just the fact that kids tend to have no manners or just won't shut the -blam!- up. You know, eating their mic, or eating with their mic unmuted, or arguing with their parents. They tend to be immature and act like pigs. I tend to be quiet, and usually play with the older guys. The "no kids" thing is usually just to keep those type of people out.
