Adults who are ignorant suck
I just love when I'm looking for players on the forums and I get discriminated against for being 16 because apparently being a child automatically makes me incompetent. The funny part is when your stats are better than the adults that post stuff like," Need two for trials, must have 1.3 kd, no kids." Then you find out they barely have a 1.0 and they won't play because you're young. Share your comments community. Ignorance isn't bliss.

The person refused to play with me because I was young, and didn't want to deal with "annoying squeakers". Even though at 16 you aren't one. People associate anyone under 18 a lot of the time with being immature and annoying. Some people may be, but it's not just kids. If you're comfortable with only adults, okay. You do you. But you shouldn't not play with someone because of your opinion on kids. Not everyone is that one kid that ruined your experience.

1 RespuestaIgnorant would mean I wouldn't know. The fact is that for every one person who is under a certain age I play with that is good, there is 10 that make me want to strangle them. Sad, but true fact. Parents need to be able to beat their kids again.

I don't mind playing Destiny with youngsters, its all in the attitude as far as I'm concerned. If you're chilled out then you've got nothing to worry about, with me at least. I've heard some delusional players both young and old and I've seen it all. The only trait I openly dislike is the culture of blame and I've found adults to be the main culprits! I've noticed that for some reason TTK has brought out the worst in people, much more so than Crota and Atheon. It's quite sad actually. I can't work out whether it's due to the length of the raid or whether we're all just a little fed up and tired of Destiny.

When you become an adult, you will understand how nice it is to hang out with other adults, no kids allowed. It's great, for a myriad of reasons. Until then, get out there and make some friends, closer to your age. Easy peasy.

Can only agree with you, but it's everyone really. Ofc there is the sudden "oh." when you hear a squeaky voice but if you aren't being a -blam!-, which involves eating/drinking noises, not muting when mom's screaming bloody murder, or general dumb behaviour and trash talk, you are okay. If some 35 would be eating spaghetti through a megaphone he'd been on the team for the longest time as well.

I give all players a chance. Kids aren't the only ones who tend to be annoying, adults are just the same. Like that one ass who always takes the game serious enough to think it's his life. Or maybe those players (including both kids and adults) who don't know when to keep there moth shut or talk about stuff that might not be acceptable. It's funny to me that there are adults that say no kids, when those are usually the adults that I don't like to play with.

Totally agree with you. I never refuse against kids or screaming or squeaking etc. In my experience Kids are quick learners Better player when they are serious However I do get annoyed when there are discussions in raids like Do you see my gun, is it cool? Or Uncontrolled swearing as if you replaced all the nouns and verbs in a sentence with just curses and swear words... (try in ur head and u will know what i mean) Apart from that I think kicking people out of teams jusy because of their age is plain stupid.

1 RespuestaThe only way he would have made that assumption was if you spoke, and were indeed a 'squeaker', or you told them your age - either way the fault is yours for drawing attention to it. There are millions of irritating, MLG wannabe, rage filled, chat spamming, ADHD squeakers out there that have ruined many a group - you are unfortunately guilty by association, but remember that stereotypes happen for a reason, and chances are people have had more bad experiences than good. I have run Raids and Trials with people who turned out to be under 18, but their attitude and maturity meant no one had any idea; the burden falls on you to prove people's assumptions wrong by acting maturely, regardless of your age. Alas, whining on the forums about how you are being 'discriminated' against, and whining at how unfair it all is, does nothing to help your case.

Some adults like to be able to have adult conversations without children present. It's that simple really. You don't even have to mention your age for that matter, you could even lie about it if you wanted to. As long as you're not a squeaker or really immature then no one will know. So maybe you should just stop advertising your age since you claim to not be a squeaker and that you're mature.

Had this kid a few days ago come back from getting food and say "this pizza is drier than bae when she's turned off" Made me cringe.

[/quote] You're kind of contradicting yourself here. On one hand you seem to understand that people have preferences and you respect that. But on the other hand you think their reasons for having a preference isn't valid. Make up your mind. I prefer to play only with adults. I have my reasons. One being that a few bad apples have somewhat spoiled my opinion of younger gamers. That's not my only reason, I just prefer to run with my age group. I'm a parent, and sometimes I just need a break from kids. Plus I feel a responsibility to censor myself when playing with kids...and I don't like doing that. This is my time and I'll play with who I prefer. Make a clan. Make whatever requirements you want, then play with those people. Problem solved. Oh and I have a few kids on my list. They are cool but I still prefer to play with adults.

2 RespuestasIgnorant people are annoying regardless of age. Age shouldn't be an issue when trying to find a fireteam, but it is. I'm 35, and if I am joining groups I don't know, I always prefer it if everyone is kind of college age or older. Having said that, last time I used LFG I got into a raid team where I assumed everyone was at college (some of them were talking about their fraternity etc). One of them turned out to be 15, and like me had joined them from LFG. Just like your post, it reminded me that I shouldn't judge people so quickly.
