The first time I played through the story and got to the Black Garden, I remember I got to the top of the one staircase and got my first overlook of the garden itself and I just sat down and took it all in for a while.
Absolutely love it when a game has views that are enough to actually make me stop playing and look around at the environment.

On the first mission, when you barely breach the hull by the skin of your teeth and after a brief narration by Cayde, the game goes silent for a few seconds. In that time, there is no objective marker and the game essentially forces you to find out where to go. This is one of the most artistic and underappreciated moments in a modern game. The endless destruction visible beyond the ship contrasts with the strange biological symmetry of Hive architecture to make you feel overwhelmed and the lack of direction enforced the immensity of the enemy you face, as if you don't really know how to win. More moments like this please Bungie.
