What makes 1000 yard stare so good?
Title says it, why is it that when I use a thousand yard stare, snipes are so much easier? Is the aim assist really that great?

4 RespuestasIts their availability, you get a good PvP roll from a quest, a good PvE roll from the Vanguard Quartermaster and they drop fairly regularly (for me at least).

Heard it's middle of the board really, aim assist wise jus the impact an that it's handed to you makes it so prevalent.

1 RespuestaMaybe you do better with it because you can see your target better. The scopes on other snipers are a cluster f*ck of lines and circles. I like a single, small dot. Very functional with no frills.

4 RespuestasBecause it's an easily available sniper with balanced stats and the second highest impact in the game behind Black Spindle. No other snipers really cover this archetype aside from Eirene, which has lower aim assist.

2 RespuestasThe only other snipers of comparison are the Eirenne, Black Spindle and Stillpiercer. They are difficult to obtain. 1KS is like Hung Jury, the best money can buy! There is nothing wrong with any sniper or their availability, it's poor tactics and the lack of good countermeasures that leads to sniper preference now. Bungie has effectively reduced all other guns to mediocre, leaving snipers to stand out. I could shoot snipers with any gun before, now, I need a pulse, scout or sniper. Soon I will only be able to use a rocket. Then they will butcher snipers and we will start this again. It's a cycle caused by a belief that good guns should not exist. It's Destiny weapon balancing and a principal reason the forum remains strongly divided. They just can't leave weapons alone and fix the game first!

I like recoil and the perks all 3 of my guardians have one one if them has explosive rounds and hot shot with triple tap

It's got a very high impact for a sniper. That's why it's so good

Nothing i get them like commons only thing I really noticed was they drop at 290 or above.
