There's nothing wrong with the entire class of weapon, just a bunch of Legendaries and exotics that stand out as.. Relatively broken in their own classes. Snipers? People say 1000-Yard has too much AA, personally I'm quite miffed that people using Defiance of Yasmin have so much more visibility. Shotguns? You've got Party Crasher, Patch-A, Conspiracy Theory-D, and The Chaperone. Bungie said they tightened up the damage drop-off but to my knowledge these shotguns were pretty much unchanged with the Chaperone actually getting an enormously unnecessary buff! ^^^ In both of these cases it isn't the weapon-type, it's very specific Legendaries that 99.9% of people use over other Legendaries because they're leagues better than everything else in their class. Whenever I bring a shotgun into the Crucible it's gonna be Invective, but even with the range stat looking high.. I can [b]honestly[/b] spit farther and have that be more effective than what was previously my favourite Exotic in the game. :c MIDA? I never liked it actually.. Year 1 it was meh, year 2 I enjoy it in PvE I guess??? It's pretty much one of the easiest guns in the game though. Huge magazine capacity, lightning fast reload, crazy high AA, amazing stability, and you get extra agility just for having it equipped. The gun literally has no downsides. Auto Rifles are in a good place though, it feels as though there's a few that stand out like the Doctrine of Passing but the weapon type's shtick is making you flinch and miss your shots so they win the gunfight. That's just sorta how ARs work. The holy trinity of hand cannons were always broken and personally I don't think they should even exist ahahaha. I don't need to tell you how powerful Thorn was, and Hawkmoon has a 100% crit rate when someone's sniping me with it so I always felt cheated out of those gunfights where I could get the first shot and still lose! The Last Word, however, is on a bigger rampage and is spilling more Guardian blood than Red Death could ever [b]dream[/b] of spilling. The blanket buff to ADS accuracy brought TLW right back up front-and-center as the single best gun and fastest ttk in the entire game, [i]regardless[/i] of how far away someone is when they shoot it. Bungie needs to take a hard look at the current meta and realize that blanket changes just don't cut it, some guns absolutely [b]need[/b] to be addressed. Remember a while back when they changed Hopscotch Pilgrim? They're more than capable of changing a single gun. But that's just my opinion, good luck out there Guardians. Have a happy new year. <3

The only thing I get annoyed about is getting killed by shotguns and shotguns alone. If all you are using is a shotgun, you have none of my respect. Learn how to use a primary.

I personally use the water star, usually a sniper(I just can't use shotguns xD), and honestly any heavy weapon lately it's been the terminus. But use what you like ya know everyone's going to get butthurt over something so f**ck'em.

Trial and error. Use what ever you like. Don't let anyone's opinion sway you. If you like shotguns. Fusion. Sniper. Hand cannons. You paid for the game just like everyone else.

Pick between a butter knife, a boxing glove, or a small air cannon strapped to your wrist. That will be your melee. Now, pick between a water gun and a nerf gun. That will be your primary. For your secondary, pick between a slingshot or a paintball gun. And lastly, pick between a foam sword, a launcher, or a BB gun. One of those three will be your heavy weapon.

Without my personnel hatreds, I would say any weapon that gets you kills is good to use. However, as someone with strong opinions against the 1k stare and shoulder charge, don't use those.

Anything non meta with a time to kill higher than 1.5 seconds. The exception being all heavy weapons. With a conditional exception to special weapons. The condition being no "felwinter"-esque shottys and no snipers with aim assist higher than 50.
