It then implies that after reaching certain income milestones with Destiny that more and more of Bungie's resources will be put towards "Marathon". Even if the contract is outdated and a lot of the Destiny stuff is no longer relevant, that part is interesting.

First off it only mentions Xbox 360 as a last gen and the whole section is superseded by an agreement based on analysis of resources and impact including older platforms introduces to the project. Basically, if they both agree to only do ps4 and Xbox One (720 in the doc since neither ps4 or Xbox one existed in name when it was written) then they can scrap the 360 requirement. Based on the memory issues and development difficulty to support the older systems, I fully expect destiny 2 to only be available on current generation. Additionally MS and Sony probably have a say in whether they should develop for older gens as well as the game has a large enough draw in encourage last gen players to upgrade. Go read something a little easier to understand OP.

It also says there will be 2 dlc packs in between the yearly releases for year 1 and year 2. As we all know this isn't the case for year 2. Plans change. Even Activision is finally starting to let go of last gen with CoD BOPS3 and their new microtransactions.

If you read the contract as is and didn't understand then let me clarify. In Section 2.1 paragraph C it states that Destiny 2 will be released for X360 XB1 and PS4. It will not be released for PS3. Paragraph 2.1 d states just that all 4 consoles will be referred to as Platform Consoles. I am not saying this is the current signed contract between ActiBungie, but if it is PS4 may have a couple more additions than XB does because they hopefully can make the quality a little bit better.

I'll find a link, just give me a few. Edit: I'm actually misremembering. I'm thinking of a discussion I had with someone on Gaf a couple months ago. But I'll state the same logic here. That contract was spilled in 2012, I'm wholly confident it has been altered and revised since that time. If not because of the incident itself, then all of the new data and reception they've received since.
