280 gear at xur is an insult.
Boost the damn lvl of the gear to 320 this is an insult to destiny players everywhere xur has always provided us with high lvl gear its stupid to not raise the lvl 280 is useless now. I have 2 310s a hunter, a titan, and a 317 warlock. Toc does not always drop you what you want perpetuating the grind week after week.

Edit. Im a veteran year 1 player and had almost all exotics except for 3 and they were prison of elders weapons. So i remember the old grind i prefer it to the new frustrating infusing and rng based on light lvl hell
Edit. Then lets do this rng based on light lvl for xur a chance when you buy stuff it will be at your lvl

I do infuse to get to a higher lvl guys just in general i do believe he should serve another purpose though other than 3oc if he no longer drops high lvl gear maybe we should be able to buy mini quests for exotics for each class different one each week for different exotics just a thought. Or buy gear based on your existing light lvl.

In fine with the exotics veing 290 but I think its stupid how to get my 290 red death up to 305 it cost my like three exotic shards I like it better where u could upgrade the strength of it then for the last damage upgrade it cost one exotic shard now it takes so.many exotic shard to upgrade one weapon to achive max

Xur is for new players not for people who are above 300

Its keep you playing dude. Bungie knows everyone has exhausted the content and theres almost nothing(pre SRL launch) to keep you here. Its against their best interest to give you what you want

I too prefer the old method for leveling exotics. You grind and unlock the nodes as you go, and when you're done you have a fully leveled full power exotic. The randomness of the exotic engrams is infuriating. I no longer need any 290s and it still seems that the majority of them are dropped at this level - even though all 3 of my guardians are over 300 light and my Warlock on which I earn/turn in the engrams is 311. I'm thinking that one of the unmentioned features of a recent patch was to reduce the number of 310 light exotic engrams dropped. This is unacceptable. The grind for 310+ light gear is unreasonable. Leave the light infusion for Legendaries, but for god's sake give us Exotics at full light. Regarding Xur - I agree - 280 light is less than useless. Also, if I buy a Yr 2 exotic engram from him and turn it in as an above 310 level guardian, I expect a good chance it will decrypt into a 310 light level exotic. I have yet to get better than a 290 from Xur.

5 RespuestasThe point isn't to get end game gear, the point is to collect exotics you don't have. Xur was never made to be an outlet to get max gear, he's just there so you have a chance to get exotics you may not have.

Stuff you buy has always been stock level just like iron banner gear. If your not going to work for it, you have to work at getting it to the level you want.

Or they could just increase the drop rate and light level for 3oC, as it appears to be dropping 310 gear and weapons now...up to 320 and more frequently would be nice...

I was saying this as well. Xur just doesn't have any purpose anymore, beyond the 3oC he's nice enough to bring to us.

300+ light should be reserved for the players who actively participate in end game activities i.e. raids, trials, and iron banner. This shows that you have invested time into leveling up and have earned it, and not had max level gear (which is still a fairly rare drop from anything) handed to you for 13 strange coins.

300 sounds better, because at least we could infuse some weaker Raid gear into it once or twice to get it to 310-320.

While 320 is probably a pipe dream, I'm in agreement they should have higher initial light level. They're exotics. They burn exotics shards every time you infuse, which is stupid. Armor exotics take forever to level up specifically for no real good reason. I consistently would get duplicate drops after burning resources. The whole system is irritating and cumbersome, especially when you have time gated exotics which resulted in a ton of duplicate drops early on in the expansion.

Like N (maybe 8 or 9) strange coins buys you a 320 Primary "Light Surge" which takes a primary inventory slot, has 320 light, and cannot be equipped but [b]can[/b] be infused.

Bump for 320 exotics. Xur may as well only sell 2 items, 3oc and heavy synth. That's all he's good for at this point in the game

1 RespuestaInsult would be, Oryx dropping a class item, that should be for the early bosses not the final one Insult would be anything in the raid dropping at 300 Insult would be nightfall dropping useless crap at 291 Insult would be no blue gear dropping above 295 when you try to get one exotic to a certain point Insult would be you getting a random exotic at 310 for another class (though you can also use this for fueling other stuff luckly) Honestly, its already bad trying just to get gear from the raid, with these stingy drops, its almost like somethings just dont belong and should be removed. No Oryx, should by no means even be dropping the class items, no boss should. Take the artifacts, the kingslayer shell, and the class items, shove that stuff in the chests, put it there for a reason. Bosses should drop shards, weapons, and armor, nothing more and nothing less. Its infuriating to any player when you play a nightfall and get crap, its more annoying when you do a raid and oryx drops shards and your moldering shard drop just gives you a weaker class item. You want an insult? Its when you have to hope for the best when your progess is impeded by horrendous RNG. Believe me, this isn't even the worst. World of Warcrafts drop system was even worse because other players could actively prevent your progress. Personal loot > loot everyone needs to compete for.

You can save time (by buying it) or money (by waiting for an engram). You can't have it both ways...
