Multiplayer Attitudes Survey
I’d like to try an experiment in collecting mass responses from public discussion forums. Please go to the link below to fill out a quick survey about your opinions on FPS competitive multiplayer. It’s only three questions, shouldn’t take you more than a minute.

This survey is not specifically about Destiny and will not directly impact Destiny’s development. I’m just seeing what kind of responses we can expect from doing public open surveys like this and incidentally testing a pet theory of mine. Feel free to try to guess the pet theory (after you’ve filled the survey out honestly) or wait until after the survey closes Wednesday, December 9th at noon PST. I’ll edit this post with the summarized results and the theory once I’ve had a chance to analyze the data.

I must say I despise the grind. Deleted my Destiny App days ago to only download again for this rant(forums). Zhalo supercrap sell it now they will put the disc back in(log in). Came from Halo 5 to only realize the butt hurt is real. Begin rant of what's wrong with destiny- No friendly fire, No clamber, No boost into cover, unbalanced pvp, bounties in pvp???(like really?), grind, no dedicated servers, lag, no 60fps, rehashed lvls for grind, patch this patch that, Destiny is still a beta for everyone, Go back to the tower for another gay candy bag every ten minutes, slide shotgun, horrible community, Bungie trolls its fan. I find question 3 to be bias as most of my strength is in my legs and hands.

I'm going to guess that you are expecting the percentages to be somewhat balanced. i.e. Players that rate their FPS skill and upper body strength highly would also expect multiplayer games to require high skill to succeed. Players that rate their skill low would expect skill requirement to be lowered. If you were wondering, my answers were 3, 5, and 3. I'm just an average person in both PvP skill and physical strength, but I believe that people who are good at PvP should always beat less skilled players, rather than having the best gear decide the winner. As a PvP'er, I'd much rather use weapons I [i]enjoy[/i] than use weapons that are in the metagame (and easier to get kills with). That's why I stick to casual PvP instead of Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner. Anyways, there's my 2 cents. Good luck with the research, I'm curious to see how it turned out.

I honestly think the teamwork thing on question two requires skill, it is one of the hardest things to do but like other skill required things it is a very rewarding and works well.

1 RespuestaIt took me ten minutes to realize the last question might just be referring to team carry. I should change my answer from 1 to 5 to indicate accurate amounts of hyper carrys and still losing.
