I’d like to try an experiment in collecting mass responses from public discussion forums. Please go to the link below to fill out a quick survey about your opinions on FPS competitive multiplayer. It’s only three questions, shouldn’t take you more than a minute.

This survey is not specifically about Destiny and will not directly impact Destiny’s development. I’m just seeing what kind of responses we can expect from doing public open surveys like this and incidentally testing a pet theory of mine. Feel free to try to guess the pet theory (after you’ve filled the survey out honestly) or wait until after the survey closes Wednesday, December 9th at noon PST. I’ll edit this post with the summarized results and the theory once I’ve had a chance to analyze the data.
Thanks for helping!

I'm just here because I'm taking a dump.

Are you suggesting use of a peripheral, maybe related to VR and move?

Editado por steadyhand08: 12/8/2015 10:50:54 AMSeeing is physical(strength) ability has a collaration to peception of what people think is important to a shooter. Ie thinking skill (placement, gear setup, how enemy is going to move) Vs reflex skill (boom headshot) I suspect your theory is... the stronger someone is the less toss they give about twitch skill and prefer more thinky shooters I don't think how good someone is factors into their thinking people naturally play the games they are good at so it's easy to pull wrong data their. Edit as everyone doing it. I do parkour so physical very very strong. Think I'm above avarage at shooters but my team play focuse kills my KD 😕 Perfer thinking shooters over twitch shooters.

3 Respuestas6'2 & 160 lbs Can't do a push up or a pull up Extremely inconsistent pvp scores But got a nice butt so not a total loss

Did it. Anything to help test a pretty theory, my fellow science nerd :)
-
Above average at PvP I like head shots to do stuff I.E; make things very dead faster I can do push ups but I mean I'm pretty big, if I could do pull ups I would look like the fudgy hulk.

Anyone have a cheatsheet? I forgot to study for this test.

1 RespuestaWhat was the point of Question 3?
-
Editado por Yoru: 12/8/2015 9:53:08 AMMy answers to the questions 4 3 2 Personal skill should obviously be important, but in competitive multiplayer teamwork and coordination should be the major thing winning matches. -edit Just checked the previous responses... Why the hell is there 23.5% of people saying that personal skill should be the the driving force in competitive multiplayer. I can understand saying 4/5 maybe, but no way in hell should it be 5/5. Teamwork should be rewarded in a team based setting, Those people are hopefully only playing rumble/FFA.

1 RespuestaWas really hoping the question was: do you think dedicated servers should be required for multiplayer games? because that's a yes.
-
Bro do you even push?
-
Editado por Sheeeks: 12/8/2015 9:24:34 AMIm a fat bastard and im also shit at the game But i can honestly say i can do more push ups and pull ups than alot of people
-
Interesting idea, presumably gonna get more 'above average' results than you should :)
-
Bro do you even bench?
-
1 RespuestaKraffty= probably the most skilled pvper in destiny. Weighs 200+ pounds, mostly fat, severely out of shape. You may be on to something here bungie. Makes me scared of when Sc_slayerage does a reveal. But wait, this just in! ProfessorBroman= probably the least skilled pvper in destiny. Weighs 200+ pounds, mostly fat, severely out of shape. #TitanMasterRace

On question 3 I chose answer 2. I work a lot and do heavy lifting with lumber for 10 hours but I only chose 2 because I don't "work out" per say all the time. So my upper body strength is average at best.
-
6 RespuestasLol I know dam well on question 3 some of y'all were not honest.
-
Last question, all I could think of was "Do you even lift, bro?"
-
Honestly, I have a few ideas on what your theory is. 1) those with lower physical fitness spend more time playing games. Or at least believe that they are more skilled. 2) those who are more physically fit believe that skill should be more important because they have spent great amounts of time practicing to be physically fit. 3) those who are more physically fit believe that factors outside of skill should be important as we are dumb jocks who don't know anything. Honestly, the comparison of physical fitness to gaming skill is kind of offensive regardless.

1 RespuestaDo I get a 320 drop for taking the survey 😉
-
Why kind of survey was that???

Question 3 is about carrying a team. Yes I can carry!
