I joined this clan as a noob, hoping to get help with things like being taught King's fall or Trials of Osiris. When I needed help, I'd ask for it. I got ignored in return. Throughout 1-2 months with the clan, I was helped once: King's Fall, up to the ship jumping puzzle. Otherwise, I was blanked, and for the hundreds of members in the group LFG was much more reliable. I learned very little, I gained very little, and in the end I decided to just delete the BAND app and be done with it: I knew they wouldn't care enough to say bye. For a new player, there will be better clans, where you will be taught and helped. For an older player, you might find help here, but the only difference between this and another clan is the use of an app to plan events. I wish I didn't have to write this, and that I was happily learning amongst the clan, but that didn't and isn't going to happen: the clan needs to know that.

  • Perhaps you are, now. Your post regarding being admin of a 360 clan is a little old. It doesn't change the fact that you were not active nor did you attempt to participate in any of the activities designed for newer players. If you felt ignored you never reached out to anyone for help. You ignored the raid and Sherpa posts. I get the feeling that you expected to be carried through all the end game content because you joined a clan. That's not how it works. Posting on our recruitment post was uncalled for, take responsibility for your experience in the DOA.

So it's my fault I couldn't participate in pre-made activities, designed for players in similar situations at specific times. Got it. The posts were, as I said, in awkward times or altogether impossible to act upon. I didn't expect to be carried, I expected to be helped, and when I never was, you can presumably imagine that I wasn't very pleased. Posting on the recruitment makes you work on the issues that turned me away, making the clan better overall. It's a blessing in disguise.

  • You were helped. You were offered help. You wanted to learn the raid, we offered two separate Sherpa event, neither of which you participated in. You joined a raid group with other DOA members, and couldn't complete it, and was offered to try again the next day. Uhblakguy ran a nightfall with you. We tried to answer your questions and you ignored us. If you couldn't do anything because of your own personal situation, that's not on me. If the times most people were active didn't fit your schedule, that's also not our fault. To say that we ignored you and never tried to help is a flat out lie.

  • "You wanted to learn the raid, we offered two separate Sherpa event..." See: most of what I've already said about awkward timing. "...neither of which you participated in." See above. "You joined a raid group with other DOA members, and couldn't complete it, and was offered to try again the next day." I don't think I saw that "try again" bit, but if I did there would have been some reason why I didn't join tomorrow, perhaps due to not knowing when it was happening or not. "Uhblakguy ran a nightfall with you. We tried to answer your questions and you ignored us." See: above posts. "If you couldn't do anything because of your own personal situation, that's not on me. If the times most people were active didn't fit your schedule, that's also not our fault. To say that we ignored you and never tried to help is a flat out lie." Except that when I was on and asked for help with an event, it'd say "x people have seen this" and then there was another post that people responded to. It happened many times. Thing is, even if YOU aren't responsible for my schedule, your clan was unable to slot into it, and thus I, personally, have not had a good experience, and so I wanted to tell you about it.

  • You didnt tell me about it.You bashed us in a public forum instead. Had you come to me or any of the other admins we would have bent over backwards to help you out. I do it damn near every day. Even now, as pissed off as I am with you, If you PM'd me on band and asked me for help getting a raid team together, I would help you. I read everything that you ever typed while in DOA, at no point were you ever ignored. I can send you a transcript if you like. You had opportunities, you had the ability to schedule your own events if the ones I created didn't work for you, but you didn't. You didn't take advantage of what we have to offer, for whatever reason, and that lies squarely on your shoulders.

  • One of the things I love about using Band is that I have access to every message, post, picture and comment ever posted by anyone that has ever joined. It wasn't difficult to figure out who you are, your space kitty picture on your Band profile gave you away. You joined the DOA Band on november 7th. Since then we have had 14 regular Raid events. You never signed up for a single one. We also had a Sherpa Event for kings fall on November 14th. You also did not Sign up for this event. In your one month on band you have 0 posts, 0 comments on posts, 0 signups for events. You hit light level 290 on november 14th. You were run through the nightfall by one of our members. A member who blew off his raid group to specifically run you through the nightfall. In the chats you said that your raid group fell apart. It was late and your group was not getting it done. Your exact words were "Everybody left. Brilliant." To which 2 members of your group apologized and offered to pick back up the next day. You asked for help learning kings fall, and were referred to the dec 11th Sherpa event by 6 other members, myself included. You did not even read the event post. Yes, band tracks who reads posts and notices. You asked a question about leveling up, to which 3 members asked follow up questions that you did not respond to. You never once posted in the Clan LFG, the Iron Banner nor the trials Chats. All of your messages were posted in the general chat, and almost all were responded to by an admin. You put forth little to no effort in participating in our clan. You had ample opportunities to join raid groups and didn't, and never once did you reach out to any of the admins for assistance. I get 5/6 messages a day from low light year 2 players requesting help, and I do my best to personally find them groups to raid with. I don't know what exactly you were looking for when you joined my amazing clan, but you certainly did not put forth any effort into looking for it. Since you joined, you have founded you own clan. Now here you are posting on our trending recruitment post, complaining about your experience in the DOA. Find a better way to recruit members into your clan.

  • "You joined the DOA Band on november 7th. Since then we have had 14 regular Raid events. You never signed up for a single one." All were either at awkward times, or clashed with what I was doing. I was on holiday for one week, played Fallout 4 in the time leading up to it, etc. When I played Destiny, they generally were at times when I could not play. "In your one month on band you have 0 posts, 0 comments on posts, 0 signups for events." I never looked into the post side of things because it seems irrelevant. If you want a group, a post is more awkward IMO than just asking. "You were run through the nightfall by one of our members. A member who blew off his raid group to specifically run you through the nightfall." I forgot about that instance and I'm sorry about it. "In the chats you said that your raid group fell apart. It was late and your group was not getting it done. Your exact words were "Everybody left. Brilliant." To which 2 members of your group apologized and offered to pick back up the next day." This group, mind you, was from LFG and forums, and the raid never started. It wasn't directed at anyone on the site, and so is irrelevant. "You asked for help learning kings fall, and were referred to the dec 11th Sherpa event by 6 other members, myself included. You did not even read the event post. Yes, band tracks who reads posts and notices." I'm sure I signed up to that very event. I remember the comment that, if not contacted by today, the guy running the event would forget about the people who said they would participate. "You never once posted in the Clan LFG, the Iron Banner nor the trials Chats." I definitely posted in Trials, looked at Banner (but never wanted a team) and I'm sure I posted in LFG at least once. "Since you joined, you have founded you own clan. Now here you are posting on our trending recruitment post, complaining about your experience in the DOA. Find a better way to recruit members into your clan." First off, it's a social group, so that invalidates half of your statement: it isn't about Destiny. I would also like to point out that this is valuable feedback, considering how everyone else is just praising the group and telling you nothing about how to improve it. Always ways to improve, whether you like it or not.

  • We discuss ways to improve and get better involved with members everyday. You never once messaged me personally about help and if you had these problems you should have contacted an admin. The list was posted for you to get ahold of someone if you required assistance. Do what you feel in necessary for you to have a good time on destiny. But you only get out of things what you put in.

  • You can say you wanted me to message an admin, but I didn't know you wanted people to message you feedback, or whether or not you would even take it seriously. I didn't even know how to PM. I'll tell you right now that a feedback chat would be useful.

  • I take what people say seriously. I'm not just some asshole that thinks "oh we are so great blah blah blah." Now with real life situations some of us were only available during certain times. If we couldn't have accommodated you then I'm sure one of us could have found or set up something for you. I apologize that you didn't know how to Pm and I'll get on with making a post to explain that. But you could have easily messaged someone on here as well. I check my destiny app frequently as people still use it to contact. Either way I'm sorry again. Whether you believe that or not is up to you. I wish you all the best

Contrasting with what Rad may say, I'm actually glad that you genuinely want to help everyone in your clan. Because there is no activity on the app from the clan, it didn't seem like it was worth using it to contact you, so that created an issue. I'm happy to see you're making a post to help your clan mates, and you should continue to. I will say, however, that it is not obvious that you will set up events to help people: all events I saw were from specific people, and had no conversation behind them that I could see, so I assumed otherwise.

  • The comments below apologizing for your experience and offering to correct it are typical of the DOA admins and put forth in good faith. It makes me sick to see my admins apologizing and trying to right a wrong that never occurred, just so that you can poach clan members. I am REALLY tempted to message your clanmates offering clan tags, hard mode raid carries and trials carries to leave your clan, but I won't.

  • You created a false post bashing something I created, that I take great pride in, that is NONE of what you described, with the intent of preventing others joining. A little anger is to be expected. You're upset because you weren't carried through a raid. Plain and simple.

  • I'm sorry you had a bad experience and honestly if you'd have messaged me I'd have been more than happy to assist you. Unfortunately with 500+ people you can get lost in the shuffle if you don't speak up. The admins were there to assist you in anyway possible and event were posted all the time for the raids and for sherpaing new players through. I hope you find what you are looking for in a different clan. As far as anyone joining the clan. If you ever need assistance don't hesitate to add my GT and message me from there. I run multiple kings fall raids a week and am always willing to lend a hand if available.

Hi Jolly. If you were an active member on Band and helped others out, you would have had no trouble finding teams to raid and play with. I'm on Band nearly every day, many times throughout the day and I've never once seen your GT in the last month. Like with most things in life, you get out what you put in. If you weren't posting to help others and/or you were just asking for help for yourself when you wanted it, no one would know you were there and would be less willing to assist you if you never paid it forward, which sounds like what happened. You would have had to join in, help others and stay active on Band. It's pretty easy... For anyone else thinking of joining us, DDO and the DOA are an amazing, friendly, helpful and cohesive group who look forward to meeting you and gaming with you. See you there! ;)

  • You probably never saw me because I used me GT as my username on Band, but I don't here. If I could help people, I was happy to, but they situations were rare. I wasn't able to help with Trials, KF or, really, Iron Banner: basically, most end-game content. I helped with the Court whenever I could, but otherwise I wasn't able to do anything and got completely blanked. The events were in awkward times and involved so many people that they were not going to be much help, and nobody in any chat cared enough to say anything. Even when I was the last person to say something, I'd be ignored, even though 10+ people had seen it.

  • What was your Band screen name/username when you were on there? That sounds quite unusual. I wish you had contacted a founder or any one of the Admins if you felt upset about how things were going. There are events going on all the time on different days and at different times, to help accommodate players around the world and with different schedules. I'm sorry to hear that things didn't work out for you and I wish you the best in the future.
