As stated below it's a cool down, not a glitch. That said all you have to do to end the cool down is tap jump.

It doesn't really make sense for a cooldown to be forced reset by jumping.

Saw the update. Said people were getting stuck in a slow sprint. That is not anything close to what the OP described. Just logged in, still can't immediately sprint after stopping. So tell me, are you that desperate to be able to talk **** to me that you have to run your jabber jaw like an enraged 6 year old?

You do realize that I came into this post trying to help the op, right? There is a sprint cool down, has been since launch and tapping jump resets it. I'm so glad you hate brigade trolls have nothing better to do than **** on everything on these forums. Get a life dude.

The glitch where you're in your running animation, but moving at walking pace. Not sure how it's triggered, but it happens rather often, and at the worst times.

If it was a "cool down" I don't think the developers wanted us too look like fools, literally running in place, slower than walking....to wait for a sprint again. Hey brainiac, Read the op. They're talking about not being able to immediately sprint when they stop for a moment. That's the sprint cool down.
