Just give me some advice where to use these for optimum use. I know the details buff and all that. But just a good solid place that might guarantee more drops.

4 RespuestasEditado por BetrayedRhino85: 12/8/2015 4:50:36 AMI've had the most success between the Taken Ultras from the 'skull' patrols, the Taken Champions from the Taken corrupting the area events, the Ultra Knight on the Dreadnaught and mixing in a quick Gate Lord/Winters Scourge/Entropy's Pinnacle mission. I don't get large chunks of time for raids, so I usually pop a coin as I am working on bounties, the daily mission, doing some Court of Oryx or just on patrol trying to rank up a faction./Cryptarch/Vanguard. I've found that a very quick and easy 'higher-level' mission with a qualifying Ultra, is Entropy's Pinnacle. Just spawn in, race to and up the Citadel, beat up a few easy Taken, shoot up the lift, hop across the 'platforms', speed through a few easy Taken's to trigger the Echo to spawn, race back to the first tall floating platform (before the 'main landing area') and snipe away (even Ice Breaker works like a champ) or send a few tracking rockets into the Ultra-- all without having to dodge, evade, kill any other enemies...completely out of harms way. It's a super, super quick mission and only requires popping a pill...I mean coin, using a couple bullets and about 8-10 Sniper rounds or a couple rockets-- minimum effort and time required. I usually mix it up every 15-20 minutes-- spawn into Cosmodrome and look for skull/crossbone patrol (leaving if none there), pop a coin, kill the taken champion since it seems to 'show up' there consistently. Then head to orbit, hit Dreadnaught and farm chests for runes, CoO for 10 minutes and then pop a coin, make the Ultra Knight 'Silent Scream'. Head back to patrol or CoO or join in on a Cabal Champion/Hive Stalking Party Ultra, for about 10 minutes. Then hit the Entropy's Pinnacle, pop a coin and race through that....then back to patrol and so on, and so on. And maybe mix in the Gate Lord and a Taken Public Event on Earth, Venus or Mars here and there. I have 3 kids (w/ 2 year old twins), so raiding and running strikes can be a bit difficult to accommodate or keep up with the other members of the team, so the Patrol/Dreadnaught/Taken Champs/Gate Lord, Entropy's Pinnacle, Winter Scourge method really suits me well-- for when I have to pause to wrestle with kiddos or deal with some double-dooty. I pretty much average 1 Exotic Engram for every 4 or 5 coins used...using them once every 15-20 minutes, as intended. But for me, the above method works wonders and yields the best Exotic returns. Good Luck!

Use one before you pretty much do anything now. Only one. Because the effects don't stack from using multiple at a time. Crucible now can drop them. Sparrow racing can drop them. Strike bosses, raid bosses (discluding daughters), and story bosses obviously drop them CoO T3 bosses drop them. Patrol-ultras drop them.

7 RespuestasI use 5 at a time and get an Exotic every Ultra kill 5-1 works fine for me and I only have to run the 1 Ultra.
-
1 RespuestaAnywhere that there is an ultra
-
Heroic strikes, and "Taken forces are corrupting the area" bosses, and between every TWO matches of the Crucible. Why two matches? If you activate the coins rapidly (within 10 minutes of each other) the chance to get an exotic is lessened. So unless your matches are going to the last second in PVP, don't go more than one every other.

2 RespuestasJust got a heavy engram from crucible :)
-
Always have one active no matter what you do!
-
Use them on Uranus.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
Bond bros
-
You can now use it in crucible so I would just do it there
-
Shade of oryx, in the raid.
-
only on the first major/ultra when u first sign on. not after you've killed one or more
Just give me some advice where to use these for optimum use. I know the details buff and all that. But just a good solid place that might guarantee more drops.
Run strikes, first one pop a beginning, second and on right before boss.

1 RespuestaThere's an ultra knight on dread patrol in the ship hull. Just head inside the ship and in a big open room there's a closed door (what you would go into for bond brothers strike). When you get to the door look up and left and jump up and over the door. Run through the bridge and there's the knight. Once you have it down it's about one minute to get to the ultra each time. Of course you should wait 15-20 minutes between each kill. Also you'll have to return to orbit to respawn him.

I've had the most success with taken champions.

19 RespuestasGo farm the Ultra Knight on the dreadnaught patrol. I have close to 30 exotic engrams in my vault just from the last two weeks.
-
Strike playlist Every time you're killing warpriest, golgoroth and shade of oryx Any time youre killing a strike boss (nightfall or anything else)
-
Farm on Regicide...kill Ta'aun over and over...that's what I do.
-
I always have them activated when I am on patrol, you never know when you encounter a taken ultra. Have noticed that if I use a coin before logging out I usually get an exotic to drop when I kill my first ultra the day after. If I'm doing strikes I usually get a drop every fifth or so.

1 RespuestaWhy you no like me? :-(

An idea to use a wormfeeder rune, pop a ToC, and kill the ogre that follows in the event it should be an easy kill and hopefully exotic
-
I don't know about you guys, but my luck for ToC's is bad. The other day I completed about 20ish strikes between two characters and only had 2 exotics drop, Id pop one at the start of each strike. I have had the best of luck with Raid bosses, but that's only if your light level is high enough for each run.
-
use one every thrree bosses you beat and youll get a 75% exotic drop rate
-
I pop one at the beginning of a heroic strike, and the beginning of each one following and get an exotic every 3-4 strikes. Now if they weren't all crest of alpha lupi or invective, everything would be fine.....
-
Had my best luck in the court. It just has to be on the antiquated rune. Run several stolen or reciprocal and then pop one and do the antiquated.

Simple answer is any Ultra so long as you have at least 15 mins between Ultra kill. I have used over 400 ToC since they were made available. I average 1 exotic drop for 3-4 consumed ToC. Always consuming only 1 at a time. ToC can still be farmed with a low level Ultra with a check point like Eye of the Gate Lord mission but must consider the 15 min. Cool down. The above is what I have proven to myself to work effectively. Everyone I play with that I have shared this with has had similar success. The following is exactly what I do: Step 1: Kill an Ultra/Gate Lord (with coin active) Step 2: Kill an Ultra/Gate Lord (no coin active) Step 3: Kill an Ultra/Gate Lord (no coin active) Step 4: Go do a bounty or play a PvP match Step 5: Kill an Ultra/Gate Lord (with coin active)
