I'm making a second XBOX acount specifically to experience Destiny again, but this time having a fuller, more "me" type of experience. I saw another post about a guy doing something similar to this for a friend, and was seeing if you forum-goers could help me with this decision.
I'm a guy that likes to do PvE. Whenever I do group stuff, I want to have a support role, but I still want to do good when doing solo missions.
What class/subclass is best for me?
I kind of want to step out of my usual warlock play style, but I still want that high recovery.
Also, when I say support, I mean in general, including buffing allies and killing ads/crowd control.

Editado por MisterTurkTurkle: 12/3/2015 6:27:08 AMStop. Second account? STop right there. Just stop. Don't bother. Unless you're running away from people you've angered in the past (just block them) don't bother. You can play all 9 subclasses on a single account and trade gear between them, in case you get a sweet gun anyone can use
-
It's Sunsinger... XD As a Titan you got the bubble, which is a temporary safe haven with some good but generally not game-changing buffs. As a Hunter you got Shadowshot, which can have some good buffs but is offensive and can only be used on one boss/group of ads. As a Warlock you have Song of Flame, which is actually really good and gives your team a direct buff, but can't save them in any way. Your choice :)

Nightstalker is the new best add support class. It works solo and with a team, and you can make it work better on a single target instead of a bunch of targets. Plus it has wallhax.
-
As a titan I'd say defender with helm of saint, as a hunter I'd say night stalker for crowd control or bladedancer cuz it regens health and you can always vanish and help revive teammates, as a warlock I'd say sunsinger easily
-
Nightstalker is everything you wanted.
-
Nightstalker Hunter, tons of fun and orbs!

5 RespuestasIf your not that good of a player, go Titan Sunbreaker. Crutch class for dummies. Pop super, run around slobbering, blindly throwing hammers everywhere getting multi kills.
-
Since you said step out of warlock, and support that still works good for solo, nightstalker if for you. Also, check out gunslinger, many don't like it, but gunslinger and nightstalker are my favorite classes in the game. Next would probably be defender because armor and protection.

3 RespuestasDefinitely defender titan or nightstalker hunter. Those are the ideal subclasses for support.
-
If you want high recovery go for defender if you want better crowd control get nightstalker
-
Defender is definitely the way to go not only will you help out other guardians but you're also not just support you can pack a punch, also if you get defender get the helm of Saint 14, blinds any enemy who enters your ward of dawn real helpful
-
defender is probably the better choice as the nightstalkers bow doesn't work against oryx but weapons of light does or you would be using blessing of light for touch of malice
-
Defender. You get buffs and crowd control. Buffs being weapons and blessing of light. CC being your suppressor grenade that stops enemies from using abilities. Like teleporting or ANY taken ability. Stops wizards from doing ANYTHING. Nightstalker does CC too with its super and poison melee. And buffs with invisibility and orbs from it's super.

1 RespuestaDefender Titan. It makes PvE easier for everyone.
-
I think you should try out defender. ;DD
-
Defender Titan and Sunbreaker Titan with max armor and max recovery. Learn how to Titan skate and you'll be a beast.
-
You either buff yourself and others with defender Or you weaken and disable enemies with nightstalker Ooor, be a sunbreaker who can weaken enemies and also be considered 'OP' in PvP

1 RespuestaEditado por ThrKingLion: 12/2/2015 5:57:48 AMThere's only two clear choices night stalker or defender. But which one to use? Do you want your own mobile home that protects you and gives buffs to any ally that walks in,or do you want arrows that suppress enemies and weaken them?
-
I would've went with defender for you but if you're looking for crowd control as well, Nightstalker is for you. Excellent CC with Shadowshot, as well as being an orb factory. Blood bound makes quick work of large groups of mobs and de buffs enemies so you do more damage akin to weapons of light. Vanish in smoke to go invis if you find yourself in a tough spot.
-
Though I do use the Hunter, I would say go with a Defender Titan. Due to the fact of the Defenders "Bubble of Protection" this would provide a strong solo character as well as a supporter due to its effects that can be given thru the bubble. Best of luck whatever you choose. CR

I like to solo as much as I can too, and Defender is my favorite class for it. If you get in trouble you just pop a Blessing bubble and get the situation back under control. Helm of Saint-14 blinds all enemies who enter your bubble and is excellent for soloing. And with the perks that reduces your bubble's cooldown and increase its duration you can just about have your super ready before your bubble expires, especially if you are using Bad Juju. As a support class switch to Weapons, the perk that makes your bubble generate orbs as it takes damage, and the one that makes all melee kills generate orbs and you can chain supers for days. Loads of fun and very effective.
-
Defenders sounds perfect for you. You could go for an orb gen build that utilises alpha Lupi and telesto (super based), or a nbp's build with a good shotgun (melee based). If your serious about buffing allies then go for bad juju with either glasshouse to extend the ward buffs (armor or weapons of light) or provide buffs for allies whilst debuffing enemies with helm of saint 14. Honestly defender titan is one of the funnest pve classes in the game. One of the funnest combos is putting on the perk that generates orbs when your ward takes damage. Set it up in the open, then use the curved edge to shoot over it with a sniper (buffed with weapons of light) whilst being invulnerable to incoming damage from that direction. Generates orbs for days, and draws all the aggro away from your team mates.

1 RespuestaWell for support, sunsinger and nightstalker both do pretty well when generating orbs, and stuff like that. But for solo content, sunsinger has no competition. I'm a solo kind of guy myself, and sunsinger is perfect for those activities. Warlocks, with sunsinger and stormcaller would probably be the better idea, because they both offer support and solo abilities. But these are just some opinions, go with whatever you feel like. Try making one of each class as well.
-
I'm biased towards classic Titans so I'm gonna say defender but if I'm being honest, sounds like you want nightstalker
-
Nightstalker. Shadow shot can generate gobs of orbs. Your melee is a second grenade that can snare, damage, or make you and your fire team invisible. Solo your shadows shot makes it easy to take out large groups including majors. And you can quick invis if you get in over your head.
