That's honestly just a risk you'd have to take...like in any other game with transmog. Especially if you run into opposing titan bubbles regularly. And alpha lupi isn't an issue if you position yourself correctly and ghost camp if your referencing trials. Gotta learn to think on your feet if you think transmog would be an issue in PvP because you can't tell if someone is really wearing a particular piece of gear or not

  • Lol in any game that has competitive play being able to see what someone is wearing is very helpful. It doesnt mean you are bad it means you are thinking tactically and probably generally do well in comparison to those who dont look. Beinf able to tell if sum1 can do special things like shadestep without havung the skill active is very helpful as it allows you to figure out what they are using to give you a tactical advantage. Take a look at games where itemization is essential like MOBA's. You dont build the same items each time you build to counteract your opponent. Same applies for destiny it just affects your playstyle instead of items.

  • I didn't say it meant you were bad. I just said what somebody else uses shouldn't really affect your play style. Especially when people often change gear in the middle of matches. Unless you're in trials, which admittedly is the only place I can see transmog being disabled since the better skilled and equipped team is the one that wins...or lag if you're into that kind of thing. But even then it's a stretch because most teams I've come against wear one thing flying in and by time the match starts they're using other stuff. So personally, I think it's better to change playstyle based on game type and map, rather than the player. Players change but the map...the map stays the same...sometimes...because they did move some of the control points around on some maps. But I digress, I agree with your point of view on the thinking tactically bit because I look at the other teams gear, but it's so I know what to expect. Although I don't fully agree with your opinion on transmog in PvP, I still respect it because it does raise some valid points for small teams Pvp like trials but in the 6v6 playlist I don't think it'd be a problem

  • I did say competitive Pvp which at this moment only consists on trials :P but the fact people change gear after flying in makes it all the more essential to be able to see their gear. For example if someone was using celestial nighthawk and you could tell (tbh it stands out quiet alot) then when they golden gun you could quite easily just run in with 1 guy and use his shot rather thn fleeing and being shot from behind (have seen teams do this many times)
