What's the best way to use 3oC?
Hey guys, what's the best way to use Three or Coins besides heroic strike playlists?

3 RespuestasI used to run heroic strikes exclusively with them and I got one out of about every five. That was two, three weeks ago. I stopped having the same luck, though, and it could just be RNG, or it could be a modified cool down timer. But anyways what I'm doing now is popping one every time I get ready to kill a boss, but I'm leaving at the least 10 minutes in between them, because that prevents the stacking bonus from being as effective (As I understand). And I don't like to leave a stretch unfinished overnight. Obviously once one is used the IX marker goes away and I don't want to lose the benefit if there's a reset timer. But I'm just being superstitious :P It's working pretty well for me, I sometimes get 1 in 5, sometimes 1 in 10. I just have a couple more exotics to collect before I have the full Y2 set. 12 RespuestasKill the knight for the silent scream emblem (there's an opening on the top left you can jump through) and kill the knight. Switch to next character and kill it, then switch to next character. By the time you get back to your main, it'll be around 15 minutes which is how long it takes for 3ofC to reset and maximize your chance at an exotic. Hope this helps.

Exotic engram dropped on my 37 third character, transferred to my 301 warlock and got a 310 Telesto. Pretty sure you just have to over 300 light when you turn them in.

For me personally it would be on patrol. I use one every time the Taken champions spawn.

1 RespuestaOnly one I've had was from Xur in an exotic engram 2weeks ago (chest piece) Bungie must have changed the drop since hard mode came out...so now you only get 310's if your over 310! (In the style of Alanis Morrisette) 'Isn't it ironic..don't you think?'

Vanguard strikes, missions, Ultras on patrols, etc. There is no best way.

To be honest...I never really need anything xur sells...so I just buy like 50 of them and run vanguard heroic strikes. I'll pop 1 for every boss, and I'll pop 1 for each shield brother... Other than that, I don't really care if I'm wasting them or not, because I hardly even use all those 3oC's before reset anyways...

Oryx Fight, Kill the Shade. You can set all 16 Bombs off at once so by doing this method you can kill 4 Shades then setting all the bombs off, if that's not enough. Rinse and Repeat!

If your farming strikes, at the beginning of each strike or before the boss.

Every time you open your menu and don't see exotic particles drop another. Make it second nature. You never know what counts as an ultra. (And if you do.. check before the battle to make sure you have them on.)

I'm 310, haven't had a 310 exotic engram drop for weeks.

Pop 3 of coins.. Sit in orbit for 20+ minutes.. Start restoration mission, kill boss Rinse repeat for 3-4 exotics per 10 3oc

With patience and little expectation! An ultra is an ultra and rng is rng, a hundred places to use them, all with the exact same chance of dropping an exotic. Mix it up and enjoy the game whilst you get them, the taken champ on the hollows, drax, ultra night, antiquated runes, ultra boss strikes. There's enough farming in the game as it is, break it up by playing.
