I really like the new kiosks. Out of all of the new changes to the destiny ecosystem, I feel like they make the most sense.
However, I know many times I get legendary foundry weapons that I like, but not enough to get rid of my others. My suggestion would be a sort of weapon catalogue. It would function similarly to the exotic kiosk but hopefully with some kind of tie to the gunsmith. Upon acquiring a weapon you want to save permanently, you can deposit it into a catalogue for a fee, that then stores it separately from your vault and inventory. Requiring the weapon should be either free or a relatively small fee of glimmer, maybe a few pieces of the planetary material that the weapon used. It then could be used normally. Stored weapons in the catalogue would have static perks (the ones they had when stored will never change). However, if you find another with another set of perks you like, the option of having them saved as another "loadout" for that weapon would be phenomenal. Dismantling the saved weapons yields no glimmer, materials or marks. Also, stored weapons can be deleted from the catalogue normally, should you not want it anymore.
Thought of this after accidentally dismantling my Dead Orbit Hung Jury. :*(

Bump. Because any Vault Space solution is a good solution.

Since the base stats of a gun model are static across all versions of that gun, affected only by perks and element type, you could infuse one 1000 Yard Stare into another. You'd be left with only one gun, but you'd have a choice between two different guns - each with it's own set of perks, and its own element. Ideally, though, I like the permanence of OP's catalogue idea. The kiosks in the tower are brilliant, and this would be a worthwhile extension off of that idea.
