EDIT: I am back after 7ish months, my original post is below this edit, and I commented below more of why I'm back.
I have played Destiny almost every single day since its release, logged 1,900 hours of gameplay here, got every single achievement, and obtained a Grimoire score of 4,595, but none of these will continue to progress because I'm leaving.
I want Bungie to know that a huge fan of theirs is walking away, and won't be returning; here's why:
1) Bungie's treatment of their fans is horrible in too many ways from business practices, to releasing bugged content consistently, and even how they (poorly) manage these forums.
2) The community here is the worst I've seen with negativity towards each other, and there's no reason to treat another human being with genuine rudeness for next to no reason.
3) This game was designed to only reward those who play almost endlessly, and this addictive cycling reset was very bad for my life, so I'm getting rid of it before something happens in my life that I'll regret (other than the wasted 1,900 hours).
This was a good game gone very very bad, and I no longer wish to support Bungie or Activision in their current state. There are so many other games that get it right, and that's where I'll be spending my money and time from now on; either there, or on things in real life like camping, backpacking, and disc golfing.
For the community still left reading, please be nice to people here while I'm gone, it's what I've always tried hard to do, and I've equipped some of the weapons, armor, shaders, and emblems that I have left on my characters that I enjoyed using, so they are always are there looking their best!
Good luck to you all Guardians, and may mine rest in peace!

Well, 7ish months later, and not only am I posting again, but I am also coming back. Not that I expect any positivity from anyone here, or for you to care, but I figure I throw it out there anyway to see what happens. The choice of returning came as a combination of Bungie (allegedly) making good improvements to the game, and because this game really brings almost all my friends together like no other game does. So with all that said, I am back, and fight well Guardians!

8 RespuestasEditado por Un1337ninj4: 10/28/2015 1:59:24 AMSays here you've played 1234 hours of your claimed 1900+: http://wastedondestiny.com/xbox/xanderofficial 3) That small point aside, Destiny's built to reward those who can play maybe an hour or so a day (Enough time to get done one of your weekly strikes and a daily activity once a day for three days, and your other guaranteed drop challenge activities sparsed throughout the week including a Raid that DOES have a checkpoint system, all the rest gives you drops for continued play but dock the Marks and drops from activities you've already completed that day/week. It's a system that allows more casual players to keep up more or less but still lets more adamant players charge forward and continue advancing to some extent.) 2) The on-forum community's always ablaze. That's just the way official forums go for console titles. HOWEVER, it's always been the collective opinion that the in-game community's typically pretty astounding in the positive sense, not perfect, but damn good to say the least. 1) The cut content bit was entirely due to Bungie execs viewing pre-2014 Destiny as a product that wasn't up to par. See here: http://kotaku.com/the-messy-true-story-behind-the-making-of-destiny-1737556731 Of the lads who were talked to one guy said "This was good", the other three either said it had it's flaws or just wasn't something Bungie should put on shelves. So instead they overhauled it and created a narrative for a game that would release with a minimum viable product and grow from there with user feedback in-hand through paid DLC. Fast forward to today and there's some very serious talk about releasing TDB/HoW style content free funded by cosmetic exclusive micro transactions. Still shoddy? AYE. But that must really highlight a problem with the initial game eh? This system does have the benefit of ensuring proper amounts of dev time is spent on this content instead of scrapping the game altogether. I don't know about you, but that bumpy summation highlights that perhaps them spinmetal sombrero theorists are overshooting their stories a bit eh? 1.1.2 forward all they've done is include improvements to the game based on user feedback, expand the game, and even improve on last year's Halloween celebrations by a notable margin. And finally, you paging Deej and Cozmo with this "feedback" isn't worth shite when you hardly make a valid argument or even provide anything capable of actually being interpreted as useful input.

Also whoever created that chaperone quest is either stupid AF or forgot that sunbreakers rule crucible now.

I don't understand why you feel the need to post it. If your gonna leave then leave but you and I both know you're a stinking little liar Bc your ass will be back. Be a man and delete your characters and get LOST. You know you will be back you troll and guess what, you will post when you leave again.
-
I thought you were gonna say that you still don't have Gjallarhorn
-
1 RespuestaI have a feeling I might be joining you on that leave as well and I know there are others more will leave. The community itself here I try to say something someone comes in with something Negative its to toxic.
-
4 RespuestasWell, I've quit the game, returned it, and now this is the last I'll be posting because I'll be removing the app from my phone. Like and bump as you see fit just to show a point to Bungie that they did wrong by a lot of people; even hardcore fans. Bye!
-
You forgot 4) overcharging international gamers by extensive amounts for DLC
-
2 RespuestasYeah, yeah, yeah. See ya in the next Iron Banner. :)

Delete your characters then I will believe you are leaving

2 RespuestasEditado por Leonidas: 10/28/2015 8:01:20 PM"Bungies treatment of their fans in too many ways from buisness practices..." that one sentence is cringe worthy. Sentence structure is slowly diminishing from the current generation.

1 RespuestaIf you truly are leaving, why dont you delete your characters? I know the answer, it's because you aren't leaving.
-
1 RespuestaIdk why people need to post that they're leaving? It's not like you're affecting any of our gameplay

Omg guyth tho toxic guyth, guyth tho TOXIC TOXIC TOXIC guyth. I'm a sheep guyth I jutht thay what every other n00b thayth guyth. Tho toxic!

Sorry to see you go man, especially after all that time invested. I can agree with your second point about this community being toxic but I only seem to find that type of behavior on the forums which, sadly, is to be expected these days. 99% of my encounters in game have been good with people randomly helping with quests, inviting me to their fire teams, and even resulted in some good friendships I can rely on when I need help and vice versa. Whatever you do next just make sure you're happy and you'll be on the right path my friend.
-
Aw, it's sad to lose nice people like you. I'll do my best to keep people happy on these forums. I hope you have a fun time doing your own thing. Farewell fellow Guardian!
-
Shouldn't it be done, leaving, gone? In that order?
-
-
Or you can just you know, not be an addict... If you're addicted to destiny you may as well stop gaming altogether because you're only going to find another fix.
By Felicia!
-
Yeah a bad raid experience can do that.

So this means, Guardian down?
