Welcome, come cry with the rest of the community about how much you'd pay to roll the die and jump (without a/x).
Every tear counts.
CE emotes are elite status.
Original post was met with Ninja Justice as soon as it was Trending.

Remember when they said if you didn't buy DLC you wouldn't get left behind?
Nowhere does it say that these items will be only cosmetic. It say "initially" these item are emotes, and "these EMOTES are completely optional."
Why does nobody think that they are capable of selling game changing items when they clearly have already done that for playstation owners?
Help me out here because I can't quite grasp the concept of how anyone would rather pay 5 dollars for a single item that would cost 10 cents if it were bundled with more content. It's simple business practices.... What's more intelligent, buying a 16oz bottle of water at the gas station for $1 or buying a case of 24 16oz bottles from the grocery store for $5..... Again simple business tactics that target the uneducated impulse buyers.....
Nowhere does it say these micro transactions will pay for DLC. If anything it says that it will fund holiday events like Halloween which we have already had a taste of that we were supposed to have anyways, so your technically not funding anything but giving people more money to do their job. Or is this live team new? Didn't sound like it. It also states that you won't miss out on a crucible match or a raid, well we all know how these guys are with their wording. Doesn't say we won't miss out on any weapons or gear which I believe could fall in their cosmetic category.
It's not optional if it can't be obtained in game without real world money. Optional would be if you wanted to save time and not play a game but spend money on it you could buy stuff offered in game but these are EXCLUSIVE items bought with an in-game currency that can only be obtained by spending real world money. And that currency just proves that it won't stop at cosmetics like the micro transactions in COD. And as far as endgame goes I won't be able to fill my kiosk and have 100% completion.
In an 6 page article in GameInformer January 2014 introducing the game Destiny (vanilla) to us an art director states that our Guardian's will be fully customizable with many cosmetic items including movements which came to be "emotes".
In no way does this have anything do with money, I have no problem spending $100 quarterly for DLC if it came with a decent amount of content.
I'd rather pay a monthly fee than have micro transactions because then you know everyone willing to pay2play at least have the OPPORTUNITY for the same rewards. I don't want hear "it's just an emote and doesn't affect gameplay". I played Guildwars for 6 years and a title is just a title but it's a symbol of achievement that not just anybody could get (kind of a big deal), a feature and opportunity missed greatly by Bungie.
I may be reaching but I could see the marketing team seeing how many people bought CE and paid for expansion passes twice just for emotes and they even offered a $60 CE without the expansion pass for a short time (I got it) but removed it because they realized people would pay. They gotta pay Nolan right? Well what's next exclusive weapons and armor? What if ToC became a exclusive silver item? Or something beneficial like it.
Don't want to hear I'm a kid or I don't have money.

Editado por The_Metador: 10/14/2015 10:29:19 AMYour concerns are legit. I'm enjoying the game but if I smell something funny down the road I'll make a youtube of me and my friends using the "Aw come on!" and Tantrum emotes outside of Tess' kiosk. Till then it's not unreasonable to fund future dlc. However, I will not buy anything until I see these free bits of story content. More story then pay. That's my licence agreement.

I love how fanboys get so anal if you mention anything negative about bungies shitty game and service

1 RespuestaI'll buy the emotes if I want them. Simple as that.

1 RespuestaEvery time I shoulder charge a teammate off a ledge I have to watch myself do the same dance over their leftovers. I'm ready for some new moves. I might pay a buck or two, beyond that may not happen.

I'm stupid to pay for microtransactions....but at the same time, smart enough to hold a job that pays enough to not notice how much money i'm spending on microtransactions....*scratches head*. While I see the point you are trying to make....who are you to try and tell people how to spend their money? Is it a waste of money? Probably. Do I care? Nope. Will I most likely buy everything they have? Yup.

Editado por DevGEM: 10/9/2015 10:05:59 PMI'm not reading your wall of garbage, because you want to boycott something that's optional. Hey, guys! Let's boycott parks next! And then we'll boycott watching the sky above! Yeah! That makes so much sense because we're doing something that's proactively non-constructive!

9 RespuestasThe more cry baby posts like this I see, the more tempted I am to buy the dances and what not.

6 RespuestasA developer from Bungie stated, before Destiny came out, microtransactions had the possibility of entering the game. He did not know what form they would take, he just knew they would never become pay-to-win. I'd look it up but I'm too lazy. Also, from the weekly update, it seems they may do things to give us free Silver.

2 RespuestasI'll be buying everything she has. Get a job.

6 RespuestasHopefully you get ninja justice again but until then
mute
~ xavvax ~

I agree. At this point I would rather pay a subscription for all of Destiny's content than pay $150 for a little over a year and get locked out of new content.
-
3 RespuestasIf they truly do keep it only emotes, similar to NOT what dead space did, but what mass effect did, then no. Let the idiots waste their money on dance moves. It's paying for story content. I trust bungie, but not asstivision

1 RespuestaThat taken shader that everyone thinks would look cool... Yeah, that will cost us some silver, and that will be the hook.
-
You are completely right sir . Some people will not learn and they are stupid enough to go and pay for these emotes because they are dumb yeah they may not be expensive but you are all like the people who buy the cod camos ahah taken for a fool we have all just bought the taken king now they are trying to get more .

3 RespuestasThis is one of those things where as a player, it irritates me to be asked to pay extra, but if i was in the business i'd absolutely do it. Didn't EA post obscene profits from their ultimate team packs? I think any company trying to stay true to tradition/put gamers first can't and won't survive.
