Destiny is getting premium currency. How do you guys feel about that? I personally don't mind.
But the Silver might also allow future expansions to be free.

Don't take it as fact till we hear more from bungie, but just think about what if.
Edit:General consensus seems to be that nobody wants it to go beyond cosmetic items. Which is good. Nobody wants to be buying exotics or weapons two years from now.

1 RespuestaAs long a it is just emote and shades, and maybe have every onece and a awhile a contest probably crucible like league play or something and top 3 people on each console get a couple silver, to keep it competitive
-
There will never be free expansions, unless you wait a year and they are "free" because they are bundled and no longer worth anything.
-
The problem I have with this is that if it catches on, bungie will completely ruin the game with garbage you can just buy. Pay to win is the dumbest model ever created for video games. It is the exact reason most games for smart phones suck.

4 RespuestasI can't believe how many likes this poll has! WTF?!? This is the worst thing that could happen. In a year or two you won't be able to finish any endgame content without buying all the gear required from random loot packs that have a 1% chance if dropping what you really need costing $10-15 per pack. Don't believe me? Check out any of the highest grossing ios games! They all use the exact same formula designed by psychologists to get you hooked and make you feel like if you just get lucky spending a few more dollars you might be able to win a match for a huge reward. This is bad.... very, very bad!
-
Cosmetic only. Maybe they could expand it with weapon shaders. Keep it cosmetic and you'll keep everyone happy.
-
Actision trying to tap credit cards. Little cardboard squares. Very bad. Very bad!
-
The future content won't be free because of the microtransactions. It's just so they can make extra money. Next dlc will be 20 something anyway. People need to stop being gullible morons. From Russia with love

Just going to go on record and call bull on those claiming they will quit if they start selling weapons or armor. Most people I see on day in day out are in it deep, sounds like an empty threat. I guess we will see.
-
4 RespuestasKeep up the good work Bungie you should expand with weapons and armor So I can actually get good guns because I suck and I don't have to work for it while everyone else has to grind over and over.

1 Respuesta"Don't take it as a fact" It pretty much is. The person who leaked all the changes for TTK has been right about everything so far. So it is pretty much guaranteed that dlc will be free
-
4 RespuestasIf there isn't the Carleton I quit

1 RespuestaThey wanna sell emotes and shaders, go for it. Personally, I don't care as long as it doesn't overflow into the realm of equipment purchases.

1 RespuestaBrilliant solution!

-
1 RespuestaI like it as long as its restricted to emotes and shaders with tess. If they start making you pay to get some exotics, i will insert my penis into a penguin
-
As long as it stays cosmetic
-
7 RespuestasEmotes are going to pay the people who make updates...they need money in order to keep working...

3 RespuestasIf there's a twerk emote, I'll be fine

2 RespuestasThis is just another way for Activi$$$ion to do what they do best.
-
2 RespuestasLove it, I've been posting saying it's needed for ages. Maybe they'll actually add customer support (no seriously, there's no E-mail, nothing. Didn't get a quest reward? Glitch caused you to lose an item, etc.? Too bad). It also means that we're one step closer to weapon skins and maybe even animated shaders. I'm on board to throw my money at the screen.
-
1 RespuestaSilver will not make future expansions free. This is just the first step but I'll continue to enjoy destiny until it reaches that point.
-
If it's reserved solely for cosmetic items, I see no problem with it.
-
4 RespuestasIf they follow warframe's path, it'll be perfect.

1 RespuestaI'm mostly feeling concerned about it, mainly over the "free DLC" bit. If we get new story missions through this, I fear that it's going to be as bland and uninspired as the Archon-Slayer mission from when we still had it. I don't think microtransactions will support Bungie enough for them to provide the stuff we got from stuff like The Taken King. Although, going over Bungie's post a second time, I think they're going to be more focused on smaller things rather than big story-related things such as requested features and events in the game, which I highly prefer over the former. As for the microtransactions themselves, I'm mostly indifferent about it as long as it stays purely cosmetic and not go down the Pay2Win route that most people here are worried about, and I think it would be devastating to Bungie if they do this. They're already going on a slippery enough slope as it is.
