As everyone right now is putting a qualification of normal mode raid to be 295+ due to needing the DPS against Oryx.
I strongly feel the next qualification for Hard Mode raid will be....... Touch of Malice.
If you have ever raided with someone (or more than one) with Touch of Malice, check out their damage stats compared to those without it. It's a HUGE difference. The only reason for Touch of Malice is purely the RAID weapon. It's quite average outside of the raid and the Bubble allowing the ToM perk to not hurt you.
I can see where, in hard mode, if you don't have Touch of Malice, there could be a chance you aren't going to be accepted (as far as LFG goes. If you have your friends and fire team, that's a different story, but ToM is still going to be a key to the DPS in hard mode)

I'm going to say to start off people will want at least 305. Once people have had a week or two to run it they'll want 310 or 315. And I won't really care. A skilled player is a skilled player, as long as they are recommended light I wouldn't mind running a raid with them.

The requirements are 300-320; gear that drops on Hard Mode will range from 310-320 defense, making max light level 320.

16 RespuestasIn hard mode the bubble will no longer make u invulnerable therefore negating the touch of malice. The aura will still be there but you will need cover and one or two guys on add duty when staggering oryx.

Just a theory... what if they removed the Aura protection so that you will not be invincible? Food for thought.

LFG posts are already requiring touch of malice. Makes perfect sense right? "You can't do the raid unless you have the weapon that comes from beating the raid." There's just no getting away from these exclusive recruitment posts. Lots of people will make posts with higher than necessary requirements which they believe will lead to an easy raid completion. This always happened in the past and will happen in the future. I remember people saying you couldn't join their VoG Hard raid unless you were level 34. It's just silly. My advice would be to make some friends that you can play with often, or look into a raiding clan.

20 RespuestasIf you haven't gotten the touch of malice then you either haven't completed the raid on normal, which means no one would want you for hard mode anyway. Or you can't be bothered searching for the fragments to get it, which shows you're lazy and can't be bothered doing it, which is also the kind of attitude that I wouldn't like to have on my team. There's your reason.

I think touch of malice will be a little more than just a requirement for lfg. If you read into the lore it seems that oryx knew and planned to have his ravenous heart used to make a weapon that will make him truly immortal. Could be just lore and have no real importance in the raid or it could be an actual requirement to progress through it. Guess we'll find out in a couple of days but for now I'm gonna go find my last 10 fragments.

For the actual game? Around 305 to start. In lfg, 320.
