MATCHMAKING FOR RAIDS
This game is in serious need of matchmaking for raids. Theres no real excuse for it, you can't argue "oh the modes are too hard and random players cant play together blah blah" NO, its better to have an OPTION to make a group than forcing every single player to go online searching for people doing the same raids, or to send invites to every person on their friend list. not everyone has a group of friends they know that plays this game. It makes no sense that some of the biggest most important portions of the game, require groups that you have to bust your ass to find. Give us a break Bungie. We should have a choice if we want to set up a group ourselves, or just enter a matchmaking for all the raids. Another issue is whenever new content comes out, everybody jumps onto that new content and people are left in the dust with the old raids, theres a lot of different drops that take time to acquire. I'm still trying to get all the items for Vault of Glass and now theres hardly anybody online on the LFG websites. Its not fair I canT enjoy all the aspects of the game without joining some giant clan

If they implement raid matchmaking, you will VERY quickly see why it is a horrible idea. Just saying.

3 RespuestasWell, it IS too hard for random players. Court of Oryx is the proof for that - more often than not the "randoms" I meet there cannot for their life grasp the mechanics of those boss fights, and those are a piece of cake compared to the raid mechanics.

yea this needs to be an option. I feel like experienced players will still use lfg and go with pre-made fireteams. but it would be cool if you had say 4 or 5 and for those last two spots you could get match made. You can pretty much carry 2 almost 3 people in certain parts of all the raids. bottom line: GIVE US OPTIONS [spoiler]personally I wouldn't use matchmaking to fill a full 6 man team cuz communication and teamwork is too damn important[/spoiler]

3 RespuestasI love the one argument, use LFG. Well aside from being picky about gear, wtf is the difference between picking someone at random in game, or picking someone random on LFG. You can view stats without even talking to anyone. Hell yeah! Im antisocial and dont want to be forced to be social. Been roaming around the Rocketyards to get this last Taken Ultra done but noone around to call him in.. Have to pray there are a few people around or find a fireteam to finish some of these quests. There is absolutely no good reason to have matchmaking on strikes and none on raids. Same shit. Look at me, Im almost up to 300 light and I just play casually. Gear numbers prove absolute diddly squat.

The only raid you have ever done is vault of glass don't complain about raids if you haven't even done the new ones also use forums for a reason to find new players

Matchmaking for raids sounds like a terrible idea to me. Nightfalls is another story. But hey, if they do implement that, it'd be way less scrubs in the lfgs...

4 RespuestasMatchmaking is a horrible idea for raiding, especially the new raid. Hate to say it, but having good rapport, good communication, and know what gear and classes people are bringing are actually very important to the new raid. No one can sit back and coast by, most of the fights require everyone being able to do multiple things at one time, cycling through responsibilities with each other, and being able to react and know how others are going to react to a changed situation like a hairdo an dying. Forced matchmaking in strikes demonstrates already that teamwork and intuitive response to things is not the hallmark of the vast majority of players, putting that into the raid is just a way to force rage quits left and right. Heck, court of oryx is bad enough with blueberries, thankfully we can sort of game the system and get a fully chat party of 8 in on one instance with a little help from blueberries now and then.

Nope, you need communication in raids, people generally do not talk with MM. So it wouldn't work IMO. Now a community area where you can choose to talk publicly to find raid players. Now that I would agree to.

3 RespuestasRaids are end game content with people who you play with, they aren't for everyone and trust me.. I'd never play them if they had match making.. after running vanguard strikes with guys who were obsessed with punching the undying mind, I'm convinced some people are just too troll for it. Literally had to figure out how to solo it and revive these guys only when I needed meat shield haha.

I didnt agree with this before but it doesnt just take 5 min to put a team together its actually quite difficult. It is purely not enjoyable scanning a website or the app to find a team, i have a big friends list and even then its still difficult. Biggest issues. 1.friendslist (friends that like to travel to the vault for gear, are in the middle of another activity or dont have 2 to 3 hours spare) 2. Lfg (sometimes no replies or not enough, trying to join groups who invo you but dont have enough in the group and disband. Groups that get filled just before you join) 3. Raid checkpoint should be optional reset because it is quite difficult for some to find the time to repeat the raid which makes it unenjoyable. we need match making but it has to be a great system so everyone benefits.

I think optional matchmaking for everything would be best. Still, if Bungie insists on not going that route then at least build some LFG tools into the game. It's stupid that in order to fully enjoy this game I have to be near my PC or my smartphone because I need them to find groups.

No. U need only one troll to -blam!- up all the raid. Indeed, u cant kick that troll out of the team. Matchmaking its not an option.
