Randal wasn't always the Vandal. He used to be Randal, a dreg. One day his squad was on scout patrol, to gather information on the Hive. Then came along a Fireteam of Guardians, a Titan, a Hunter, a Warlock. In a matter of seconds, a blast of nova had shadowed the sky. A meteor of arc had quaked the earth. And a shower of solar had obliterated everything inbetween. Randal's squad were now less than dust. But being the coward dreg Randal was, he survived. Hiding, whimpering. Randal was a coward, but he was no fool. He knew what awaited him, should he return to his fallen house and report his dishonourable deed. Randal decided to stay and honor his squad. He stood by their graves, day after day, fighting for survival, sharpening his skills, preparing his revenge. Days... Weeks... Months... Years. Randal killed Guardian after Guardian, wiped Fireteam after Fireteam. His thirst was still not satisfied, not until his comrades were avenged. Randal became infamous among the Guardians, hoping he might strike fear into the hearts of that Fireteam he once ran from. But they would not recognise Randal anymore, because he was no longer that little coward dreg, he was now a Vandal. Randal the Vandal. [spoiler]I really have a lot of time in my hands :([/spoiler]
