It literally doesn't work.
The Exotic perk for Fabian Strategy is called Front Lines, and it is meant to increase handling, stability, and fire rate while in proximity to enemies. However, regardless of the number of enemies by which I surround myself, I see no change in any of these factors.
I see three possibilities: the perk doesn't work, its effect is so minimal that it might as not be there, or it requires so many enemies in proximity that it'll never activate.
After reading December's weapon patch notes:
Fabian Strategy is being redesigned to give it a more noticeable change in December. I don't think it will be enough.
When Front Lines is active, Fabian Strategy will change from a Hard Light type of Auto rifle to a Necrochasm type of auto rifle. However, it is unlikely that the magazine will be changed to reflect this archetype swap.
As it stands, when Front Lines is active and Fabian Strategy becomes a bullet hose, it will effectively be one of the worst of its archetype in the game due to the magazine capacity heavily restricting output. Here is my proposed addition to Front Lines: This weapon has increased handling, stability, rate of fire, and has a chance not to expend ammo when in close proximity to enemies.
The above change will allow Fabian Strategy to be equally potent at close ranges as any other bullet hose, no longer being restricted and held down by its magazine size. At the same time, it will not affect its base form as something as simple as increasing its magazine size would.

Editado por HypobaricPiano: 6/22/2016 8:22:41 PMAfter playtesting, my prediction seems correct. It's a good perk but the weapon often runs out of ammo just short of a kill.

4 RespuestasAm i literally the only person who absolutely loves this gun? For me, this baby melts my enemies. But i guess its just preference, either way, use what you like guardians. No ones judging ya. Also, i notice the front lines perk when it activates pretty well.

Honestly, if Bung is doing as much data analysis on the weapons actually being used to kill stuff, I'm sure they should have seen by now that NO ONE is using it. And its a shame really, because I really want to use it! The Regime or my Legendary Suros with increased stability are just as useful if not better right now.

With the design of the weapon, I expected it to have some sort of incoming damage reduction perk. It looks like a small shield is on the front. Boost the impact, slightly increase range and stability, and add an incoming damage reduction when looking down sights and you'll have yourself an exotic weapon.

8 RespuestasListen to this weeks episode of the crucible radio podcast. There's a sound clip of Wisnewski explaining the perk and the parameters it was meant for. Very helpful.
-
I have it on my titan, but I barely used it so I didn't realize it
-
I think it should increase impact instead of handling
-
2 RespuestasI deleted it for weapon parts last night lol A lot of the new exotics are lackluster at best, pretty worthless at worst, and Fabian Strategy is the worst lol Even the new unique legendary weapons have kind of shit perks
-
Seen vids testing this, and it's the second possibility. It's so minimal, that its almost impossible to detect.
-
As bad as this sounds it most likely won't be fixed/changed until the December update. That's when weapon balancing and tweaks are coming.
-
1 RespuestaReplace that stupid perk with like counterbalance or focused fire. Please.
-
You are doing it wrong, you have to hold "square" (psn), to get your exotic shard...
-
4 RespuestasI could be, tha you people dont know hoy to use it, i can kill 2 to 3 people in the crucible with a single mag in crucible, i just play with the gun thinking i have to get close to the enemy, thats all, almost like with shotgun. Yes the gun shoud get a buff, not because it doesnt work, but because its tailored to a especific game play liek te no land beyond

2 RespuestasIt's just a bad exotic. That's all.
-
Bump. I wish that the weapon worked as advertised. I hope that its just bugged and will be fixed (hopefully soon).
-
they should fix it. BUngie fix this plz I'm finally getting it today and I want it to be good.
-
Tlaloc is pretty nice...

5 RespuestasMutthafukka should have explosive rounds.

4 RespuestasWhy use Fabian strategy when I can use zhalo super cell
-
It's one of the coolest looking and coolest performing guns in the game, on paper. It just doesn't compete with anything very well. I'd love it if it worked because it's a blast to run around with.
-
They need to make it significantly increased so people can tell
-
Yeah the perk is literally useless, but I duno I still love the gun. It just rips through ads :)
-
Maybe you should learn about the actual Fabian strategy before using the gun?

3 RespuestasIt's what I put on my Titan when I switch my guns around. Basically, a bookmark.
