Hi! A couple things that I want to clarify: Exotic Armor or Weapons that were dismantled prior to the release of The Taken King were not added to your Collections. Additionally, discovering a Year-2 version of an Exotic Weapon or Armor may not unlock it's Year-1 equivalent. If neither of these cases describe your situation, it'd be incredibly helpful if you could capture a video of this occurrence using your console's Share features. If you are on last gen, and do not have video capture hardware, a clear smart phone recording should suffice.
