There will be no one left to laugh. Dead Orbit knows that the Traveler is an omen of destruction. It's like the Fourth Horsemen. Wherever he goes, Hell follows with him! If you need confirmation then take a look at the description on my Scout Rifle that I have equipped. That's all you need to know that the Traveler is just using Humanity... RIP Chelchis!

Plus just because it abandoned he fallen doesn't mean it's gonna do the same to humans....I mean have you seen how they treat the lower class? THEY CUT OFF THEIR ARMS

Why would the Darkness chase some shops when it's REAL goal is to wipe out the Traveler?? That's Dead Orbit's thought behind it. Anywhere without the Traveler is better than the place that harbors it. I think the Fallen chop off arms NOW but didn't in the past (totally speculation) but having your entire civilization destroyed and all of its records lost would turn your race into a bunch of savages, too! (After a few generations especially!)

I'm pretty sure that the "Light" we have as guardians was given to us by the Traveler as a last line of defense because Rasputin prevented it from leaving. It's in a "dormant" stage now because all of it's light is in us/ghosts. I personally believe that the Traveler will take it back as soon as it can flee. I also like your assumption and I believe that you may be right, but I also think that the Fallen never saw it coming when the Traveler left, so they couldn't make preparations. Dead Orbit could be stockpiling all of the histories and discoveries and great works of man, however, because they have it all planned out that they will be leaving their home to make a new one! Just a thought, with plenty of speculation of course!
