Gear while leveling?
Hey. I was basically just wondering what I should be doing to gear up while leveling (sitting at 28 right now), or if I should even be worrying about gear at this point. Ideally if there's a certain reputation I should be grinding I'd like to start it while I'm leveling so I can get a head start so to speak. I'm a Gunslinger at the moment if that makes a difference.

I wouldn't worry about gear too much. Your quests should give you enough gear to be able to keep up. You don't really want to worry too much about it up until you reach 40. As far as reputations go, it really depends. You get a package with a chance for engrams (rare and exotic), possibility of strange coins and motes of light for each reputation rank up. and that will be a decent source of gear if you can get your reputations with vanguard or crucible or any of the other faction spread out in the tower and vestian outpost in the reef.

2 RespuestasWhat Faelen said is very true. What you should do is do as many of the quests as possible. Especially from every non-faction ( Petra, Variks, and Eris ) alot of those open up new quests. But you need to pick one faction to get the exotic at Faction level 25. For example FWC, New Monarch, Dead Orbit. Dont worry about gear till your Level 40. And as your leveling here is a secret. Level 1 piece of gear at a time and check if its better so that you can raise the bar every time you de-code something. Feel free to add me. xadverse
