Completes the quest and turned in to Petra rank 4 and did not receive the gun what do I do, just wait?

I did the same thing... you need to complete the Petra quest and variks quest to get the scout. Doesn't matter what order, as long as you complete both of them you will get it. I did the lost and found first and didn't get it until I finished the variks quest
