I'm not sure if this thread has been created yet or not; however, this information needs to be shared. There are FAR too many posts of people saying they used 10 coins, 7 coins, 5 coins, at once and got nothing... They don't stack like that. They stack by giving you a higher chance everytime you use a Three of Coin, and don't get an engram from the kill. It's in the update people, that's exactly what it says. So, everytime you get nothing, the next 3 of coins has a higher chance of dropping an exotic engram You are wasting them by using multiple at once. It provides no benefit at all. Use one at a time, please bump this to stop people from wasting them away! Just trying to help!! Edit: until confirmed by Bungie, it is possible that by using numerous coins you can get an even higher rate; however, the information wasn't presented to us in this way, leading me to PERSONALLY believe that this is not the case. You are obviously open to generating your own opinions on the matter. Edit 2: for those that don't know: you use a three of coins as a consumable. Once used it will be active until you kill an ultra (yellow bar with a skull). Once said ultra has been eliminated, you have officially used the three of coins. In order to get another buff you will need to consume another three of coins prior to killing the next ultra. As said above: If an exotic engram did not drop on the first three of coins you used; that means, that the following three of coins consumed will have an even higher chance. And so on and so forth until an exotic drops. Once it does, this chance will be reset, and you begin the process again. Edit 3: I just used 55 coins; one at a time, running the eye of the gatelord mission and dropped: Suros Crest of Alpha x 3 (two Hunter one Titan) Mask of Third Man The Last Word Hereafter Fourth Horseman Knucklehead Radar Sealed Akharmara (spell check) Don't Touch Me Edit 4: Since someone decided to nechro-bump this I figured I would update since the last time I posted damn near two months ago lol. I have now used over 200 coins and have everything droppable (except testlo) and they've all dropped at 310 on multiple times, that's the reason I'm 308, as I've just infused the 20 ALPHA LUPI AND NUCKLEHEAD RADARS I'VE GOTTEN!!!! Seriously though, I'm happy with my luck.
