Do people not realise that Bungie/Activision will have a (very expensive) legal team to advise them on the legality of what they do? If there is actionable grounds on anything that they do, their legal team would tell them not to do it for fear of being successfully sued.

The FTC is a government agency. The government doesn't give two shits about Bungie's lawyers or User Agreements. If enough people file, the FTC has to investigate.

Editado por Meatgator: 9/16/2015 3:53:10 PMEvery company has legal teams that's why nobody EVER gets sued! Give me a break...
-
Editado por The Dark Hadou: 9/16/2015 4:18:11 PMYou know companies get sued for things other than the decisions they've made or the products they've offered for sale, right? A lot of companies don't have in-house legal teams either and will do things without taking legal advice. Larger companies like bungie and Activision will have in-house legal teams though.

Do you work in the mailroom somewhere? Good god the BS is stacked a mile high.
-
You're obviously a chucklehead.
-
Lol... That's new! I gotta steal that one. ;-D
-
Yeah, I think the whole Marty O'Donnel thing proves that wrong. Bungie doesn't care about what's right or wrong when it comes to its employees or customers.
-
-
VALID POINT ALERT!!!
-
A falling out with an employee over profit sharing is not indicative of their general practice. Jesus wept...
-
The point was that the "legal team" you spoke of that supposedly advises them against doing certain things was apparently out to lunch when they fired that guy without cause.
-
So one example of bungie being sued on what was actually a fairly tortuous legal issue makes what i said untrue in general? Ok...
-
Yeah, it pretty much does. If a person tells even a single lie that makes them a liar. I admit that in this case it might make them Bungie though......hmmmm
-
Not in the real world it doesn't.
-
Company's don't fear being sued anymore (BofA) payouts are part of their expenses business as usual.

Editado por Dj MuFc 87: 9/16/2015 12:26:12 PMWell if that's so why have I been given a full refund for the cost of the taken king due to all my year 1 content that i paid for was made obsolete and I had no choice but to purchase the taken king to carry on playing the game they have robbed people blind and people should hear and read that if you go to your xbox live or ps network chat team tell them that you are not happy and tell them that you was forced into buying the taken king to carry on playing destiny and that all the year 1 content you previously paid for is obsolete and no longer accessible you will get a full refund if I could post a pic on here I would show you the chat I had with Microsoft team and the refund given
-
So you got a refund? But you played half hour ago. In fact you're probably on right now. So when you take a sweater back to the store, you just take the money and the sweater too? Or....
-
Well xbox live was very kind enough to let me keep the dlc content pal how can they take something off you that's already installed you muppet they have refunded me if you must know so looks like I get to play taken king for free
-
You getting a refund =/= Bungie have done anything illegal.
-
Yes people do deserve a refund due to all year 1 content not accessible and also people had no choice but to update the game and was forced to buy taken king and year 1 was basically just an expensive beta
-
If you say so.
-

Editado por VenuvianRaider: 9/16/2015 12:12:33 PMNobody is going to fight you over $40 or even $100. And, you cant get pain and suffering compensation. Its cheaper for them to give you back your money. Then Bungie moves on less the few hundred grand given back from the few hundred million they made from us. Just another day on planet Earth!! Enjoy.
-
Nope. Then Bungie figures out more ways to railroad their current customers even more to make up for the lost revenue. Hate to break it to you, but you guys (current customers) are the ones that's going to pick up the bill for all our refunds. You can thank your good friends at Bungie for that. ;-D
