I played last night and pleasingly there was zero lag
Got all my bounties done fairly quickly

Actually, same here. I got all my bounties done on one character. Then tried to party up with friends for my 2nd character but it was too laggy so I left them and went in by myself and it was fine again. I'm gonna keep testing this but I think the lag may have something to do with either having a fireteam of 6 or an Xbox Live Party of 6... or maybe both.
