Is there any reason to play the next Iron Banner?
I love ToO because of the smaller teams and the tighter communication.
Iron Banner has always been something I forced myself through, just to get the gear rewards. And it seems like every month, Iron Banner lag gets worse and worse. Last month, at least twice a day, I and everyone in my friend list, simultaneously experienced Xbox live downage for 10 minutes at a time.
With TTK releasing soon, and all pre-TTK legendary gear being stuck at Year One levels, I'm not even seeing a point to playing Iron Banner this time around. I don't see the worth in subjecting myself to the lagfest that Iron Banner has slowly turned into.
Do any of you plan to still play? Why? Do you think there's a chance they might make this next IB's gear be TTK gear?
Edit: I decided I'm still gonna play for the rewards because Bungie can never make up their mind about these things. There's gonna be enough vault space to justify holding on to gear with hopes that they may change their minds.

9 RespuestasI don't get why ppl say ib lags. I've played all of them except the first one and I've never experienced lag other than obvious lag switchers which is few and far between.

Etheric Light - I haven't had one drop in a Nightfall since May. Pest Control Matrices? Check. Sawtooth Oscillators? Check. Absurdly small amounts of Strange Coins? Checkity check check check.

Saw some lag switchers this past go around but connection seemed pretty good for me. Had a few disconnects but nothing major. I've pushed all three of mine to level 5 for the Etheric Light the past few times, but I'm not sure If I'll mess with it or not just yet.

2 RespuestasNo, there isn't unless you want to get and save the 10000 xp bounty. All the weapons and armor he's selling and dropping will be outclassed by greens on sept 15. Etheric light won't change that, so that's useless too. Everyone will say Felwinters, but as discussed before, it will be outclassed by greens in a couple of weeks. If you don't have the class items, shaders, or emblems I suppose those won't lose much value fashion-wise, but future versions might have perks on them and light value so even these might become outclassed. TL;DR: if you're bored, go for it. But it is a waste of time

Iron Banner weapons are known for being really good at PvP so I will still using my IB weapons in Crucible.

2 RespuestasI'm just playing for the fun of playing, not IB but lots of dragon strikes, filling up with legendary and exotics and gaining lots of consumables. Yesterday I got 2 exotics and 12 legendaries from doing strike missions.

I kind of want Felwinters since I don't have one but I'm getting Until Dawn today so idk if I will play IB this week. I already have a Matador with shot package, so Felwinters wouldn't be too much better. Plus I can only use it in regular crucible anyways.
