I'm going to keep this professional and exclude all extreme and vulgar emotions currently being felt. Hopefully it will increase Bungie's attention.
Necrochasm MUST be ascendable to Year Two status. Let me explain why it deserves it, likely more so than any other Exotic.
Necrochasm is likely the most difficult and time-consuming weapon to obtain. Firstly, one must grind for Husk of the Pit. This could take anywhere from a few minutes to several weeks. Especially considering that, for a time, it was literally impossible to obtain. Bungie only fixed that a week or so ago.
Secondly, one must grind Eris bounties in order to attain the appropriate rank to buy an item from her. Rank 3, if I remember correctly. This process typically took about two weeks.
Thirdly, one must grind Hard Crota who knows how many times for the Crux of Crota to drop.
Then, one has Necrochasm, but the game's not over. Necrochasm was one of the WORST Exotics to ever exist. It was horrible, especially for a Raid Exotic.
It only took SEVERAL MONTHS for Bungie to acknowledge this and decide to buff the Hell out of it. That's great, but there is a problem. It will NOT be coming to Year Two. This is highly illogical and quite frankly, pardon my language, is beyond bullshit.
Why would you even bother to buff it if you are just going to render it obselete anyways? We will never know how powerful Necrochasm has become.
Don't give me that, "you can still use it in Year One activities", crap. What is the point in Year One activities? "For fun". Sorry, but nothing is fun if all efforts are going to be futile and mean nothing. Besides, if one does decide to use a Year One weapon, what will it likely be? Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence, Fang of Ir Yut, Gjallarhorn, and just about anything else Bungie decides to leave behind.
To sum it up, Necrochasm has gone through too much to be left behind. It needs to be brought to Year Two status.
That's my side, Bungie, what's yours?
EDIT: I'm not going to let this post die. Bungie needs to answer for this.

7 RespuestasNo one said it won't. Deej just didn't have the year one necro so he can't upgrade to year 2
-
Completely agree love the Necro
-
Necrochasm and No Land Beyond are the only exotics I actually care about, both should be able to have max attack in year 2.
-
Quadruple signed
-
Signed, it would make sense to bring it to Year Two since you will be fighting his father and all...........
-
100% agree. Took me 60 hard Crotas to obtain crux. Just got like 1 week and a half ago
-
Also why would they buff and nerf exotics that they aren't even letting you bring into TTK
-
It's getting a buff with patch 2.0. So I think it's safe to assume it's coasting into year two status.
-
bump for justice
-
Absolutely agree bungie please

Bump!!!!

All exotics should remain relevant.

100% agree

I made a similar post about this last night. I completely agree. Bungie has completely lost me with their logic. I do hope they realize this mistake and fix it. Anyways, very nice post. Bump.

Agreed! Bump!

Editado por More Cowbell: 8/22/2015 3:44:58 AMBingo I do have a feeling that Necrochasm will evolve again using a drop from Oryx.

Made a thread arguing the same points. Bumpity bump

Is just one more collectible vanity item from a broken game... and I have it.

5 RespuestasSo I do wanna make a note. I went back and checked the stream. Necro is darkened, meaning he hasn't had it before. Bad Juju is also darkened. Bad Juju doesn't show up in the Year 2 upgrades as a result, though Mark Noseworthy mentioned that he knows Bad Juju is getting a Year 2 upgrade. So there's still hope! I also find it interesting that they classify NLB and Universal Remote as Secondaries, but leave Vex Mythoclast in the Primaries. But seeing as he also doesn't have an NLB in the video, there's hope there too!

2 RespuestasEditado por Oath 01: 8/22/2015 3:41:56 AMPersonally i think all the raid weapons (cipher weapons included) should be upgradeable, to give a reason to run the old content. That, and theyre the only set rewards; worked for em, may as well be able to keep using em edit: by this, i meant just the exotic raid weapons

Editado por m1lkshake227: 8/22/2015 3:51:03 AMI totally agree. I would still prefer to have all exotics be able to move on to year 2, but at the very least let Nechrocasm move on to year 2. Because it's one of the hardest guns to get in the game. Also it's one of the worst exotics in the game, and finally getting buffed around the time year 2 comes, then finding out it's not continuing to year 2. It's a really big mistake. Edit: And I also think No Land Beyond should be able to continue to year 2. Also I did not pay attention that some of the year 1 exotics were blacked out and said requires discovery. That meaning that there is still hope for Nechrocasm and other Exotics.

3 RespuestasEditado por marcran75: 8/22/2015 3:19:44 AMThere is actually no proof that the Necro is being left behind. When they went to the exotic weapons blueprint it showed all available exotics in the game whether you had obtained them or not. The ones that Deej had not acquired were greyed out meaning that he had not acquired it yet. Necro was one of the weapons that was greyed out therefore it would not show up in the year 2 blueprints. We will have to wait and see what other exotics are being left behind. I wish ppl would actually do some diligent research before they run to the forums posting their assumptions as truths.
