The whole weapons becoming useless next dlc is going to happen, and it's not useless. Because the weapons you spent upgrading are going to be used during the first half of the DLC until you get new and better weapons. It happens with games like this. As for the whole re-leveling exotics thing is better than having to grind content over and over again just to find the exact same copy of a weapon, just with a higher attack value. Plus, with the new exotic blue print we get upgrades of old exotics. I feel like people are complaining over something for no reason because everything is better.

My reaction to a year one drop. Me: "I love you, Destiny. Hell yes!" -August 2015 Bungie : "We will be reducing the stats on most year one exotics. The ones that will not be affected are the ones that you don't use now( the crappy ones) . Oh and while we're at it, we also decided to make all your current legendaries useless for year two because we didn't feel like adding the sacrifice button to them." Me: -blam!- you Bungie. Bungie: "Oh! And since you can't use them anymore anyway, we are going to nerf them so that you can't use them in the old raids/content. Look forward to seeing you in year two!"

Bungie has to know what they have done is total bs. Which leads me to one conclusion. They are doing a mind control experiment for the government. They are also looking for new torture methods as water boarding has been called out. Bungie u have one job make the game fun and enjoyable. But instead u slap us in the face. I want to ascend any damn exotic I chose not some money grabbing idiots in an office trying to inflate play time by making us grind for an entire new arsenal to keep playing. Not so much iron banner. To be up graded. Done happy community who can play how they wish and love the guns that are part of their legend. No more people asking what is that I just started the game. Now u have screwed taken king and your player Base by making their many hours and legendary collections of weapons which used to be like a candy store. Now who gives a shit about any weapon. The last 2 expansions weren't very good so let's hope this one can do better. Plus we are getting new gear so it's time to leave the old gear behind

Bungie is great at making content relevant for only short periods of time. Why would I wanna continue this horrible trend only to see my hard work come undone in a few months? This game is ruined for me and that is really too bad.

You can keep your old weapons, just don't buy TTK, problem solved.
