[u]Preparing Before Launch[/u] -Have 19 daily event packages. You can do 20 but then you waste one when you level up. -Obtain 5000exp bounties. I heard it will be increased to 16-20 either way, do them all. -Stockpile as much focused light as you can. If you have an abundance use them during story. And if you rly have a lot, save them for "Forge of Gods". Edit: I just had someone tell me there are 2 bounties higher than 5000. The new petra bounty on the moon. And the IB iron wrath bounty. Try to get these! [u]Launch day activities[/u] -Play story up until you get the subclass. -Head to tower activate focused light, put on exotic class item and turn everything in. [b]PROFIT![/b] [u]Bonus Tips:[/u] -Storing rep can be done both by edging factions, and storing high end engrams. You won't get new gear but they will level up cryptarch, and those will. Edit: If you choose to edge factions it might take a while to unload them all. You can only pledge once a week to a faction for 2,500 glimmer. So it will just take longer. -Save Etheric light if you can. Since you can't bring new guns with you again you might as well save them. They are getting rid of them so we will likely be able to dismantle for rep. -Planet mats, armor mats, motes of light and ammo can be turned into factions for rep. So store up if you can spare the resources. We don't know how much rep it will be. -Marks: Max these out. All existing marks, in blocks of 50 will become commendations that you can dismantle into rep. EVERYBODY WILL START WITH 0 LEGENDARY MARKS. -"Spark of Light": This advice is mostly for ppl with maxed toons. Save this thing for the inevitable 4 character slot. Idk when that will be but it will happen. DON'T DISMANTLE IT!! -[i]PRISON CORES:[/i] This method is obsolete. Only year 2 guns can infuse. Edit: Luke Smith on his twitter has confirmed that year 1 legendary gear will break down into whatever type it always did. They will not break into legendary marks. -Bad Juju: If at all possible get this bounty and complete up until your ready to turn it in. Turn it in after launch to get the new version. Yes you can just buy it, but doing this will save you 150 legendary marks. -This is just something else, not really a tip. Weekly strike and nightfall will give rep not only to the faction you are aligned with, but also the vanguard as well. Edit: 300 replies, not bad spread the word Edit: 400 replies!
