What was your reaction to your first Gjallarhorn drop?
I personally just smiled, fist pumped, and power leveled it.

Got up at 3 am this morning decided to play a little in my hunter and do my last nightfall see if I could solo it. Got through it ok and got one to one synthesis which was disappointing. Went on to do the bounties for the day, headed to Mars started working on killing enemies in the first area and it started an "enemies are moving against each other" which I've never seen on mars.... So I started just working one of the spawn rooms with my lord of wolves try to farm some shotgun kills and bout half way in I see a purple drop and I'm like ok cool, gonna be useless but whatever, pick it up its a heavy and the back of my mind I think "another chance for gally". I play it cool do the rest of my bounties and decide to go to the reef to drop my engrams hoping that master Ives is good to me he usually gives me better stuff but I don't get my hopes up, I know another dead orbit rocket launcher is coming. I have two engrams rare gauntlets, turn into a strange coin. Give him the legendary heavy engram then bam... it pops up.... gjallahorn... "new grimoire card acquired".... I just fist pump and go "YA..finally".. try not to be too loud cause my wife's still asleep... tell the xbox to record it then I make my character dance and sit there and stare at it in the preview screen. It's nice to finally have it.

To be honest, it was confusion. I started playing earlier this year, and I got my first G-horn in Vault on Normal. I didn't even know what I had until everyone in my fireteam started flipping out that I got it.

I got mine back when Cryptard gave random rewards for your drops got my first legendary heavy and I got gjallahorn and was like MOTHER -blam!-ER. Stored it and never used it.

I got it day two so at the time I had no idea how go it was so my reaction was as followed " holy shit a legendary engram, awe it's for heavy?" *gjallahorn appears* "an exotic rocket launcher? No thanks I'll save my exotic slot for a primary" *vaults it for a little over a month*

Ha, I was genuinely shocked. I got my first one from a silver ToO package the first week of HoW after months of 3 raid exotic CPs per week. I didn't even know the ToO packages dropped exotics at that point. (And yes, it had max xp about 2 hours later). Got my second the same way.

The day I got my first Gjallarhorn, I had been having a pretty lucky streak. It was on the first day that the Crux of Crota was an available reward, but I didn't even want it since I didn't even have the husk yet, and everyone else on my fireteam wanted it really bad. Sure enough, we finish the raid on hard and I'm the only one to get it. I was like "oh well, guess I'll go farm for two hours to get the husk.", then proceeded to get it on my second try. Later, we did the Nightfall, which I got Hardlight from, then we did the Heroic right after. I got a legendary heavy engram from it, and from that engram came my first Ghorn. I just sat there for a second after it happened saying nothing, then I shook my head and said "you've got to be f*cking kidding me..."

It was my first exotic. I had no idea what it was when it popped out of that legendary engram.

I bought it from Xur so I'm excluded from this. I only recently got my first RNG ghorn and I was still pretty excited about it.
