After watching this interview and information brought forth to the community I can honestly say I have regained faith in Destiny. with the lack of information flow and subpar DLC's I was leaning against purchasing the next dlc. Bungie needs to have interviews like this one to show that they are listening to their player fanbase as well as to acknowledge the questions that come up otherwise there will always be a disconnect and lack of faith from players. Keep it up Deej and Bungie!
Edit: I really liked the truthful answers from Erick. I really think Deej should have someone at his side that can speak at a more technical level and relates to the audience when he does interviews so people won't get a misunderstanding on updates. Although I'm not 100% convinced that TTK will be worth the money I am hopeful they're taking s step in the right direction and I like that Erick says that if you're not sure then you can wait for reviews and ask a friend when it comes out.Bungie should act more humble and acknowledge the community as we are their customers and always appreciate the fact that Bungie listens to concerns that are brought up.

104 questions and answers about TTK with Luke Smith is also a good video to watch! =D The Lulz

Dear God. Listening to them theorize in the 2nd half of the video on how light level will be used in TTK is both hilarious and painful. How do you not get that it affects attack and defense. Thats it. Not reallocating before each strike for faster health regen or grenade cooldown.

Don't be a fool, this is marketing, an advertisement. They've just admitted to a pattern, that doesn't mean they'll change. The smart thing is to wait for reviews.

45 RespuestasEditado por Akokirikid: 8/9/2015 4:45:50 AMWhat I took away from this was "Please buy our overpriced DLC, we're not sorry that we lied and misrepresented our product in the past but it will be different this time we promise!" Why does it feel like an EX is trying to win me back even though there are better things to spend my hard earned money on?

138 RespuestasEditado por Lizard King: 8/10/2015 12:37:46 PMAfter reading this thread i watched the video twice so i can try to catch up the point how Deej and Bungie restored faith but unfortunately i couldn't. I didn't find a single Apology from Bungie that they forced us through year 1 I didn't find a single apology of over priced original game and two DLC I didn't find a single apology of non US customers getting screwed by extreme pricing I didn't see a single apology where Bungie accepted their Lied based PR campaign ( like open world destiny , constant changing POE environment etc.. ) Lets move away from apologies and get back on the Taken King Do i have enough information about Taken King as a customer ? Nope Did they shared any detailed information from me ? Nope , we need to try to find it through third party websites The trailer they put out there contains more cutscenes then the actual game play Re-skinned Enemies Re-skinned Ships - Dead Orbit ship is just new colour Lighthouse ship Duplicate Super Powers ( combine golden shot and bladedancer here is your new Hammer Carrier Titan - how creative ) Did they introduce new Dedicated Servers that players are crying out for this long ? Even only on competitive events like Iron Banner , Trials etc.. ? Did they introduce longly asking Optional Matchmaking in the game ? Did they fix constant Disconnection issues ? Did they resolve short content issues ? Don't get mer wrong , i welcome addition of third party voices during the campaign but is it enough to introduce us the non existant Lore ? There are way too many questions that needs answer and clearly Bungie and Deej is avoiding these questions. This is a PAID interview. IGN makes publicity and receive traffic where as Bungie tries to create Hype on their Over Priced DLC. There are many different game companies that screwed their players with releasing incomplete games. However majority listens community feedback and tries to apologise by giving DLC free or n a very reduced Price. Bungie did nothing like this , instead choose to price their DLC over industry norms. Destiny is also not an MMO , it is a Loot based grind game. Asking year 1 players to give up their loot in this short time span is NOT acceptable. We all want to see new weapons , loots however making every legendary weapon obsolete in new DLC will only end up more upset players on long run. We've been through this road before and it is clear Bungie will not change. I am NOT pre ordering Taken King. I will NOT order Taken King before i start reading actual player reviews. I don't believe any single word from Bungie and their Community Representatives because they lied us more then once. Edit : Some guardians think that the issue is about money. It totally isn't , i make pretty good money and i have no issue on paying games the money they deserve. However my current issue is not about money. It is about principles. Some other guardians suggested me to move over to a new game , which i am already planning to do so. However you guys also fail to see that i love Destiny. I loved the time i devoted last year , however this doesn't mean i'll bend over and let Bungie do what over they want. I am a consumer that earns his money without screwing anyone in a way. I choose to spend my hard earn money wisely. I still hope to continue playing Destiny because i enjoyed last year. However if things will not change drastically i don't think i'll continue to play. And please don't forget that this is Bungie official community which is designed for guardians to share their positive - negative feedback. I wished my feedback was filled with positivity , but if that was the case , forums will not be in this nightmare status right ? I didn't develop Destiny , you are putting your anger towards wrong side. Guardians who criticise do this because they all love this game and they want Destiny to become a better game experience.

45 RespuestasThis interview had the opposite effect on me. It made me want to punch Deej and back up my decision not to buy TTK. TTK will be a re-skinned mess with 8 missions, 3 or 4 strikes and the 'biggest' raid yet. Pay attention to the words. Biggest doesn't mean content filled. Re skinned Variks ships, unimaginative exotics and weapons and it's all designed to make you grind for it as it lacks so much content. Don't make the same mistake again. They are selling you things that should have been in the first game. And before anyone starts. I love Destiny. It's a great game but I'm not being used as a cash cow for little return for the next 10 years.

1 RespuestaEditado por Smith5084: 8/11/2015 4:47:14 PMEveryone was posting the exact same thing prior to the release of HOW, and we see how that turned out... I preordered the game, as well as the season pass, and I have enjoyed it. That being said, HOW caused me to lose interest and move on, and after seeing how awful and content bare the first two DLC's were, I won't be preordering TTK. I'll wait for the reviews to come out to see if it's actually worth coming back... The last DLC had enough content to keep me interested for about two weeks. If this one isn't significantly better in every way, there are too many other games coming out to waste the time and money.

Not hearing anything here we haven't heard over and over before in various forms and formats. Still not sure if it's worth the money though as it still sounds like a lot less content that Vanilla for 2/3rd the price of a full game. Only 3 strikes (no I don't consider updated strikes as new, those should be a free update, not paid), 8 story missions, etc. Most of the quests look like it's just a different way of tracking patrols, story missions, etc. It still looks like is a lot of rehash and their information is not consistent. "More gears than Vanilla" but then they only list 12 exotics weapons. Sure, there may be a lot of legendaries, but how many of the current ones are useless crap? Too many.

3 RespuestasThe $40 for the Taken King is totally worth it. It's the $100 i paid for the base game that is pissing me off.

3 RespuestasWell said man. Deej has a pretty hard job. Everyone thinks he gets to sit around and play destiny all day. Well news flash to all the Deej haters, there is this little thing called help him to help you!!! He can't answer millions of questions each day as they arise. So he and a team will get to it when crossed over. One thing that could happen is a weekly Vlog from Bungie, 3 shows a week. Monday- cover how the weekend went and answer a few question live that came up over the weekend. Wednesday- just a quick recap of reset. And all good in the destiny world. Friday- The biggest Vlog day. Covering the whole week. The ups and downs. And also covering the weekend to come. And maybe hinting to stuff for the next week. Since day one I have wanted to have a job like that for a company like Bungie. Its and amazing idea. And they can put each Vlog on our destinations map like they do with the cinematic trailers. Would be cool. But keep on keeping on guardians. The future of Destiny is about to start and you will all be very pleased. They have one month till their biggest release to date. -Liam
