Well im happy because we dont have to keep dragging these weapons along
Its time to move on
EDIT 1.) What if bungie allowed us to bring at least one weapon of any sort and upgrade it?
it should be like an Etheric light or something and you can upgrade it into year 2s maximum damage
EDIT 2.) MORE INFO https://twitter.com/DestinyNews_net/status/628608141698146304

443 RespuestasThere is a lot of new info in that article which I'm sure raises a lot of questions.. When DeeJ and the away team get back from gamescom next week we will share our plan for a series of Twitch events that will answer these questions. So you might hold off on dismantling anything until you have all of the info. Soon...

6 RespuestasSo year one players get: An emblem A bunch of raid weapons turn into peashooters The finger from bungie

5 RespuestasAnyone that has deleted their items due to these announcements are utter morons.

4 RespuestasWhat's the fun in having one gun for like the whole life of the game. Obviously that would be dumb because like 80% of the community loves and owns a Fatebringer. Sure, I love mine as well! I love it, it's extremely reliable, but wouldn't it get boring, using for the past 3-4 DLC's? Like, that would be stupid. Besides, why would Bungie implement more legendary weapons if people like you hold and cuddle their legendaries

38 RespuestasGOOD --- New gear, new loot GOOD --- Streamlined system for leveling GOOD --- "Smart" loot drops BAD --- Penalizing Year 1 players after countless hours of grinding b/c because the loot drop system sucked BAD --- Making all year 1 content obsolete to any potential NEW players. No reason to go do VoG or CE? BAD --- Poor communication to the community until now. Deceptive and highly questionable integrity. I have been a VERY LOYAL member to bungie (10 year bnet member, all halo games played and completed, destiny played for nearly 2k hours). The news of not being able to have the "choice" to move forward with old weaponry and gear is sad news to me. This has been well advertised as a game of individuality. (see numerous ViDocs of Bungie saying how this game is about the player and customization on many accounts. Deej tweeting asking for people to post pics of their guardian). Not allowing year 1 gear into year 2 gear just reduces the ability to customize and be individual. More of us playing how "they" want us to play. If the new gear is going to be as good or better, then allow the user to choose what they "prefer", new or old. As I stated above, new gear, new loot, new way of leveling, new loot system ---ALL GREAT NEWS, but by restricting us to only the "new gear" says a lot of year 1. (overpowered weapons?, poor leveling system, poor loot system). Grinding my way to "obtaining" (F THE XURN vs EARN ARGUMENT) the FateBringer, Blackhammer, etc was work based on the loot system put in place by the developer, not some sort of poor gameplay or misguided decision making by the end user. To render all of these items as useless, makes PvE nearly 100% useless to play from a progression standpoint (yes I get it, play for fun). I have all exotics, all raid gear, all iron banner gear (as do many day 1ers), why should I pick up my controller today and grind any of the weekly activities? No real incentive to really do much until 9/15. Year 1 diehards, such as myself, sort of feel like the dedication and hours spent are somewhat wasted. Yes, I enjoyed my time, but a major part of this was also the "chase" for new gear, max leveling, etc. Year 2 isnt a "new" game, this isnt Destiny 2. Its clearly defined as an "EXPANSION" of Destiny 1. IN MY OPINION, an expansion to original content should NOT render the original content as obsolete. I feel their decision to leave year 1 gear behind is a little bit of a slap in the face to the vast population that played the game (with all of its bugs, issues, etc) to its fullest extent and now is rewarded with them saying, "Well all that time you spent as a FOREVER 29, means nothing. Those VoG boots that you played countless hours for can be dismantled on 9/22. Thanks for playing our "rushed out the door for dollars" game and now you get what we should have released on day 1." If I want to keep those raid boots, helm, or whatever it is that I am proud of owning, its no longer an option. This plain 'ol sucks. If a larger vault space isnt an option, then the option to upgrade old gear must be. You have to have at least 1 or the other. I will end with this sad note. I have not pre-ordered TTK and will not pre-order. I will wait and see. I will wait for reviews and community feedback after a month or so of play. If there is resounding positive feedback, I may purchase, but the outlook of having to re-grind everything and the UNKNOWING of the future are two aspects that will drive me away. Without out a doubt, the original game + the 1st 2 expansions have had mediocre results AT BEST. To come back without hard evidence of success on TTK, I will sadly leave the game company I once fell in love with.
-
I'm keeping 3 weapons (other than raid/exotics) from each expansion, and the rest will be current expansion.
-
Who gives a shit...
-
Wait, sacrifice one in the same gear slot? Wth does that mean?
-
2 RespuestasWhy do we need to move on? I have a number of weapons from PRE-HOW and the new silly perks. I am open to trying out new weapons, but making me reset my entire arsenal is really annoying. Honestly, I don't even know why I shouldn't move everything to the vault in September and start from scratch.
-
They WILL be upgradable! Quote from planet destiny article posted last night: “As an alternative to using or sharding your new high-powered Legendary weapons and armor, you can also improve an item you like by sacrificing another piece from the same gear slot.”
-
We can upgrade our old stuff if we buy an extra add on by throwing money at the screen.
-
1 RespuestaI thought damage was being capped at 365 for TTK, though?
-
Highly doubt it. Unless they make it so the raids are useless.

Editado por TheDirtyDingus_: 8/5/2015 11:46:17 AMDude, this game is a skinbox. A flick of the switch and a change of the name is all it would take to have a new version of etheric light to ascend legendaries in TTK. Usually devs do this when they know their new stuff sucks. So they make the old stuff obsolete. It's a creative cop out. Makes you grind more hours. Looks good on paper.

No one played any MMO before? Legendary gears are just like the "Epic" gear category in MMORPGs which always gets replaced in new expansions while Exotics are the "Legendary" or "Holy" gear category which can be enchanted/re crafted OR Upgraded to match the new expansions' new stuff. Short and Easy, I think Exotics can be Upgraded while Legendaries will remain but not as tough as the new expansions' while you can find their replacement in through strikes and raids ( thats what I think from my MMORPG experience )

8 RespuestasThere are several games that will take me away from this pile: Dark Souls 3 Uncharted Collection Rainbow 6 Siege The Division Star Wars Battlefront Zelda Wii U Final Fantasy 15

I just got fatebringer last week, and I can't even make it 400 damage? Smh
-
Editado por Urban Shade: 8/5/2015 9:28:38 AMWhat ever. My 365 verdict and fatebringer will still get the job done in VoG
-
4 RespuestasSeriously? I will NEVER stop using my ghorn. EVER!!!!!! YOU HEAR ME BUNGIE?!?! NEVEEEEEEERRRRRRR!!!!
-
At the very least I would hope the raid weapons will stay relevant (the black hammer nerf is perhaps a hint that this will prove to be true). After all I'm assuming Bungie will still want new players to experience those well crafted experiences - rather than just focus solely on the new content? (Otherwise we will run out of things to do rather quickly in year two!)

2 RespuestasMy Vision of Confluence, Timur's Lash, Corrective Measure, Efrideet's spear, Hunger of Crota, Abyss Defiant, Her Mercy, Found Verdict, Wolves Leash, Six Dreg Pride, Wolve slayer's claw, and Dead shot Luna, all weapons I've grinded for and upgraded are now usless. Great.

They better be upgradable, because i worked my ass off for this gun and i dont want it to just go to waste so i can find new shit to equip
