So Everyone Has To Play The Game The Way Bungie Wants Us To?
This is very sad indeed. I have been playing since day one and have over 1,300 hours into the game. I could not care less about getting an emblem but this is really disgraceful. Even if you have played the game since day 1 you can't get this emblem unless you raid and play crucible. And raid on the hard level by the way! And plenty of Day 1 players don't like PVP so I guess that it is tough luck for them.
This is just another scheme to get people to run raids because the majority of the player base does not run raids. And raids are where the money is. Why? Because you are bringing 5 other players into the game with you . . . it is just a simple numbers game.
A new low has been set here folks.
Edit: I said that many people do not like to play the Crucible. I did not say that I am one of those as I have over 270 hours in PVP.

Lol they aren't forcing you to get the emblem! It's just requirements to get it. That's like expecting to get the Fatebringer without ever defeating the Templar on hard! If you want the loot, you gotta earn it. They aren't MAKING you play the way they want, they are giving you loot for achieving an objective!

Here's the thing that irks me. If you need them all (I've done all of them) you have to get people back to help you raid/PoE etc. You have until (convinently) a few days before TTK comes out to do it. You're not getting anything, you have to keep their player numbers up and then you get this fancy emblem that no one will use, as you'll want to be different from then 'Day 1 Legends' and their 'something better' that we get in two months. I know Bungie want player attainment, but it is July. HoW is going to drive so many players away, and today could have done so much to win them back. Some players will see right through this, some won't. Sad times, dear Mr. Bungie...

than why are you complaining? you can play destiny however you want, unless you want the emblem. honestly if you just put time into the game you would probably already have most if not all the requirements

If you are not doing the things for the quest line then you really arnt playing the game you arnt going after the best gear an you arnt looking to get better rewards for challenging yourself if that is how you want to play cool do that however do not expect to get some more unique or better gear by not completing parts of the game

You aren't really "forced" though are you? It's a damn emblem. I'm sure most people will use their ToO, kellbreakers and iron banner ones anyways. If you don't want to do the requirements for it, you don't get the emblem, they aren't forcing you to get it. The only way you could get to 30 and 32 was to do raids, that was forcing you, but most people were fine with that. An exotic bounty forces you to play a certain way, but nobody complains about that because they want the item, this is the same.

You weren't forced to play any particular way in halo 3 or ODST when recon was made available. You either just chose to do the vidmasters and got it or chose not to and didnt. How is this any different than back then? Back then everyone thought it was this cool thing that the community was able to accomplish. But I guess it's no longer acceptable for a company to release a prize that has certain requirements. How dare bungie make you have to do a variety of things to get something that shows you did those things.
