If your on PS4 me and a few mates try do VoG normal (no mic) every weekend. We havent completed one yet. (Mostly because we just let anyone join and then they go AFK)

People are always taking new raiders! Just be honest about not knowing what to do so you're not expected to do too much, listen to advice, keep dying to a minimum, and never be afraid to ask questions. Don't listen to the ones saying to lie about it. Nothing more frustrating than thinking you have a competent team and then finally explaining it after a few wipes. What system you running on?

If you're on 360 I'd be willing to run with you some time. I know a couple places you could try to find some folks too. If you go to destinylfg (I prefer .net but some like .com) on a Sunday or Monday, the super-serious-elitist people have usually thinned themselves out, leaving more room for the more casual scrubs out there (not an insult AT ALL, I'm one myself nowadays). Seems like on those days you're more likely to find average people who would be more willing to teach you the ropes. Just be upfront about not having raided before, bring a mic, and try to focus on fulfilling your role in each section. There used to be a reddit.com/r/raidsherpas or something similar that was full of people wanting to help raid virgins learn, but I'm not sure if they're still around. Also, reddit.com/r/fireteams might be a good bet, since it's a bit more interactive with other players than the lfg sites. There's also a recruitment section here, but I haven't used it myself, so I can't comment. Sometimes running the Nightfall with people can show your skill/communcation/teamwork to folks, and towards the end you could always ask, 'hey, I've never gotten the chance to run a raid before, would you be up for a Vault of Glass run with me?'
