DLC Price -This will piss you off
If you've been playing since day 1:
You paid $60 for destiny
You paid $40 for both DLC 1&2
Now, They want another $40 for The Taken King.
That's at least $140 Invested to keep playing for longtime players.
The NEW Collectors edition includes:
Destiny
Crotas End
HOW
Taken King
All For $80 bucks.
So after grinding for 9 months now, they are not giving us anything extra for what we've done. At least some extra exclusive stuff. Wtf. They are clearly losing players big-time so they are screwing us and trying to grab new ones.

Its seriously -blam!-ed to offer the same content & expect longtime players to keep playing and invest $100+ for the same crap. This PROVES Destiny will never get any better. They will just keep re releasing old stuff.
*Bump if you think day 1 players should get extras. Ideas? I would like to say I'd buy the DLC but it looks terrible in my opinion. Prove me wrong

Edit: There is in fact a Shader, an Emblem and Sparrow for 1 year players that I just found out about. You can all decide if that's fair or not in your own eyes. However I will not be buying the DLC, I will be moving on to great next-gen games Like Arkham Knight and Battlefront.

1 RespuestaEverybody complaining about the price of the Taken King bundles needs to get their head out of their ass. You didn't pay $60 for Destiny, you paid $60 to have Destiny 12 months ago (speaking from the time when TTK drops). You paid your money to be able to have the game when it was new, players who are now able to get the same content for a lower price have had to wait for a while year without being able to play the game which you have been playing this whole time. There is this thing called depreciation, deal with it.

What I own Destiny $80 Expansion 1 $40 -total $120 Going to own Destiny $80 Expansion 1 $40 The Taken King $40 -total $160 But wait, I really want those shaders, class items, and emotes. I guess I will have bought Destiny $80 Expansion 1 $40 Destiny limited edition $80 -total $200 So to me, this new dlc is double the price (on top of an already high price), or im going to be on the short end of the stick again. Loving this exclusives shit..

Where do you get your figures? Losing players? The game grew from like 14 million users to over 17 million registered users. It might be more since the HOW drop. They are making serious coin on this game. Regardless of what you say or think, your dead wrong. People will buy the game and so will you. Even if you think your being treated unfairly, you will buy the game. You came this far.

One of the long-time constants in any business situation is that "It's easier to keep a customer than to bring in a new one." That means rates go up over time, but new buyers get discounts. Why? Because you've already experienced this game, and if you're still playing at this point, Bungie/Activision knows you like it, and knows you'll continue to buy. Even at incredibly steep prices. Yeah, it can be seen as "screwing" the long-time players, but it's not about you, it's about their revenue. After all, even with these ridiculous prices, I'd put money on 90% of current players buying it anyway, no questions asked. I know I will.

I paid 500 for my Xbox last year and now it's 350$$$ They are only doing that too encourage new players and to keep them up to date,I have destiny+season pass and I will buy it.

Ok I'm tired of seeing these posts no offense to OP I just chose this one to make my point. What's the alternative here? Are they going to charge new players $140 to play the game and start at level 0. Hell no there not you know what we got for our $140 we got to play the game for a year which is what we paid for!

I upgraded to a Xbox one last week it's good for me since it includes the game.

They're being smart. This way new players don't face a huge entry fee to just get started and play with their friends. It is better this way.

So not only was it the initial purchase of destiny ply us the expansion(I didn't buy the big one) I paid what $90 maybe a little more. Then another game has to be bought so that's another 35-60 and when I selly 360 copy of destiny, "oh all I can give you is $10." Wow, FU2 GameStop. Now it's gonna be another $40 for the dlc? So close to $200 for this game, not including the $400+ for the new console. So I've spent $400 on the One+150 for the original game pack plus the new game for the One. Keep the -blam!-ing shader and speeder and give me the dlc for $20 like every other dlc I've ever had to buy for a game. That would make me happy. I don't need another speeder unless that bitch has -blam!-ing cannons and missiles shooting out of it. Don't care about the shader, I already have a bunch and I don't need to look like everyone else. I really don't give two shits about the emblem unless it has perks that help me earn extra glimmer or rep. So the new shit isn't something I need. I don't need to have my presence validated by having something to show that I'm a "year one" player, idGAf. I'm all for Bungie helping out the new incoming players but they shouldn't be stepping on the nuts of their current players to do that.

Granted I don't know everything about it but for the love of god, go buy it, play it and stay the heck off of our destiny forums. You obviously have a superior idea for the perfect game....so where is it? Because I'd love to trash talk it on your forums. I for one, coming from pc games (such as wow, rift, Warhammer etc,) will definitely be buying the xpack. I enjoy playing with my friends and family, on a game that is fun, interested, rewarding (sometimes) and sometimes difficult. I paid $40 for the last 2 xpacks, and i feel like $40 for this one based on the info I have seen sounds great. So here's to smashing Oryx in the balls. ✌

Let's not talk about the $2000+ I've spent on WoW. Online games aren't free or even cheap. Oh and Blizzard sells everything up to their current expansion as a bundle for $20. For me that was: Vanilla $60 The Burning Crusade $60 Wrath of the Lich King $60 Cataclysm $60 Mists of Pandaria $60 +$15/mo for ten years On the whole, Bungie is charging you less than the average sub fee, even with collectors editions all around.
