Do you still apparently go to hell for not bowing down to a broken god? I mean, what if you always tried to do the right thing, no matter what?

The more stories I hear about god, the more I think that he's a vain teenage girl.

6 RespuestasCatholicism says bow. Christianity just says love. Catholicism is why people hate the idea of God. They're the ones responsible for the dark ages. And burning technology and data. Christianity is still a toxic world though.
-
In the Catholic faith no, not necessarily.

1 RespuestaChristianity focuses on someone's thoughts. If you avidly think about killing someone, then that's sining. But let's say you are born an island that has no religion and no outside world contact. How are you supposed to learn about religion? God says that if someone dies without knowing him, then they will be judged based on the way they acted in life.
-
Don't know, don't care.

3 RespuestasMost religions focus on being a good person, so I think logically any good soul should go to heaven.

4 RespuestasWhat broken god? If any entity can be broken, then it cannot be a god of any sort. To answer your question, I suppose it depends on which religion you ask. In the end, God is the ultimate judge of your life. The Catholic Church thinks when an individual dies, and if they lived a life of helping others, then they are given a choice by God, to accept Jesus as their savior. But, if they lived a life of evil, they do not get that chance. They are cast into hell, a place where God is absent. Some may say "So if you refuse to accept Jesus as savior, he'll condemn you to hell? That's rich." Well, why wouldn't you? He's standing right in front of you and there can no longer be doubt about God's existence. So to choose otherwise would be moronic.

According to the bible, yes. You can save millions of lifes and be completely unselfish. But if you don't believe in the magical sky man, you're doomed for all eternity.

13 RespuestasThere's no hell nor heaven. Period.

15 RespuestasI'm an atheist. I do good things and am trying to help the diminishing wild tiger populations. Hitler was a radical dictator who killed six million Jews. But he was a catholic, so he will go to heaven, while I go to hell. Theist logic in a nutshell.

Yup. Bill Gates is going to hell, despite donating billions and having a positive impact on billions of humans.
