First thing in the morning i hop on destiny to finish up my campaign through iron banner on my quest to obtain sweet sweet loot. I worked hard since thursday since i didnt have the time to play all week. I sat down and binged for 2 days until 3 am which is a new late for me. So ive been being screwed over with multiplayer a lot which is why i dont play it, but iron banner is a bit more enticing than regular crucible, so i tried it out. What i found was that every team i got put on was incompetent. The objective (WOW, THEIRS AN OBJECTIVE IN AN OBJECTIVE GAME MODE!?) in iron banner or control is to capture the points. How do you capture the points? you stand on them. So imagine this scenario: you just woke up, youre playing iron banner and you have an awesome team, you spawn at the more advantageous end of the map (one on mars, has an inside and a giant rotating wheel thing, forget what its called) and your entire team quickly captures 2 of the 3 points. Pretty decent first 5 minutes, youre winning, doesnt seem like the other team has a chance. Then one person goes afk, and they take B, then 3 people go afk, and they take all 3 points. So you go and take their original base (single handedly) Now youre alone on A, C and B are captured, and the game you were once winning is now lost because a few people decided they needed to go take out the trash NOW instead of in five minutes. Now ive wasted my entire weekend doing something i dont find particularly fun over other things i could have been doing. All of my teammates, as i can see by the blue markers above their heads, are scattered across the map camping in corners with shot guns waiting for the end since nobody believes in persistance any more. No one is playing the objective, in fact no one has touched a single plate for the past 5 minutes. You bitterly await the end, and ass you get slaughtered with a titan slam to the face as the entire other team gathers around your body to tea bag you, the ending symbols clash and you think "oh thank god its over" and right before the game can give you your pitty earnings for losing. You get error code F*CKING WEASEL!!! and the game f*cks you over for the millionth time! FIX IRON BANNER, I PAYED YOU WELL OVER $100 of my money, put it to use, PLEASE!
