Should Comet DLC be current gen only?
I think that the comet DLC should only be for next gen. I am tired of the older consoles holding Destiny from its true potential. Bungie had to cut a lot of content because the old consoles couldn't keep up with the firepower of the current gens. Who else agrees that bungie should ditch last gen already?

Destiny originally started development on 360/Ps3 it wasn't till they found out about the new consoles they started to focus on those. The next games won't be on last gen starting from Destiny 2

It wouldn't matter if it was, the base game still has to cater for them. So limitations would have to remain. You'll get your dream on any future releases. Notice how most games released going forwards have no support for these machines, those that do are contracted out to smaller developers. This used to happen on the Wii compared to the 360 and PS3 versions. The games would be completely different. A prime example from those days would be Quantum Of Solace, if you search for both versions on YouTube you will understand. So until a new base version PS4 / XB1 is released, deal with it!

Besides Activision's contract with Bungie already confirms "comet" and other Destiny 1 dlc's/Expansions will be both gens. So why do people vomit their selfish crap on this forum?

Destiny was released for last generation consoles for a reason For when destiny 2 is released on current generation consoles only and more people will buy the special edition current generation consoles And remember guys it's just a game not a life style

I personally believe (don't have much to really back all this up but) that the majority of minor issues that plague the next gen systems would be improved by the next installment being only current gen. Problems like the ones that rear their head in the atheon room or crota and his godly lag sometimes. Also the I believe the 360 limits the amount of mathematical creativity the developers have to work with. We could have so many guns with dot effects alter our shields to improve resistant stats, more buffs to improve damage modifiers, consumable items that grant bonus effects or buffs ect..... So much more they could do with what they have i just feel like it would all be too much for the 360 ps3.

5 RespuestasMicrosoft has already announced that Xbox Live service will be discontinued in 2016 for the Xbox 360. As Destiny is a game that is [i]Online Only[/i] it does not seem fair to sell it knowing that it will have such a short life span.

I don't believe making next gen only DLC will make a difference, as the core game is still locked at old gen level. Destiny 2 needs to be Next Gen only, then the whole game can be increased.

Over 3 million people bought destiny on ps3 and Xbox 360. Activision aren't ditching last gen till Destiny 2.

Truth be told, I think destiny was originally supposed to be a last gen title that was then PORTED to next gen like so many games have done. Thats just speculation though, and should it be only on next gen? No, that would be a dumb move from a business perspective. The sequel to destiny should be current gen only, because at that time. Bungie will havw a better underatanding of the infrastructure of both x1 and ps4, and they will be able to make a truly next gen experience. As it stands, not much would have changed besides detail in graphics. So should it be next gen/current gen only? No, because at this point of where we are now in the games development not much would change. Let them do what they need to and THEN put all their efforts on destiny 2. That is a game that will do a lot of amazing things, all the errors, mistakes, problems, in ge economy bs will have been resolved.ake that exclusive to current gen
