Oh no, not boosters! Heavens forbid people try and quickly get out of having to play the crappy PVP in this game because Bungie forces them into it for exotic bounties. You know what you should have done instead of name and shamed? (which is pry against forum rules) You should have quit and joined another PVP match.
PVP in destiny sucks, it's not fun, it's a shotgun fest, and it's down right awful. I've never had a problem with boosters to begin with, but even if I did I wouldn't mind it here since the forced PVP is asinine. If you don't like your teammates, join another match.
Honestly the only reason Dev's don't like "boosting" isn't because they consider it cheating, it's because they don't like people getting around their crappy design system. They could have added 2 conditions to get thorn, one PVE and one PVP that way players who did not want to PVP could choose to not, but Bungie wants to force PVP on people and this is what they get.
And a ban? Really? A Ban? Shesh let people play the way they see fit and again just go join another PVP match if you don't like it, but to Ban someone for boosting? That's just crazy, we all paid for this game, if you aren't modding/hacking then a ban is too much, take a chill pill and find another PVP match, shesh.

I'm guessing you never received thorn bounty. There are multiple conditions most of which are PvE. Play the game more than you can complain about bounties and how to recieve.
