After nearly a year down in the Hive catacombs on the Moon, Scarlet resurfaces and finally heads back home to the city. With her helmet off, Scarlet walks the snow dusted streets of the the city, just looking around and taking it in. It had been a very...very long time since she had been somewhere like this. The air was was fresh. The people around her didn't want to kill her on sight. For once in her life, she treasured a moment she walked into the City.

"Scarlet, I need your help."
-
She stopped and turned to look at him. The voice was a familiar one. "What could you possibly need my help for, darling?"
-
"Do you want the long convoluted version, or the short, sensible version?"
-
"I want the version that's going to convince me to go with you after I just got home from being in the Hive for a year." She narrowed her eyes, looking at him.
-
"I just need help deciphering the clues I found. Luckily, they're all in my bag."
-
"Do I have to go with you somewhere, or can we just find a place to sit and talk. I will help you...for now...but my services will end when I say they do."
-
"I don't need you to go anywhere." He pulled out the journal. "This book may hold the key to my past. I need you to help me decipher it."
-
"Venus, Ishtar Sink. Ishtar Academy. The library within, I assume. Found in an ashen pile of books and files that didn't survive, but by some luck, this key to your past lived. How interesting," she laughed quietly, knowing so much about the journal before it was even in her hands. "Tell me, what have you figured out so far?"
-
"That I was in Old Russia, and was heading to the Academy to help Daina study the Vex, but aside from that I know Jack all."
-
"Now...a good question when looking into a large topic such as the life you lived in the past...It's always a good question to ask, really...Are you looking for anything specific?"
-
"I want to know what happened leading up to my death. I want to know what past is real. I remember so many different pasts, but only one is true."
-
She took the journal, finding a place to sit and flipping through the pages of it, humming quietly to herself.
-
"What have you found?"
-
"Just from reading? You worked with her, helped her in her research. Did some research of your own." She laughed quietly. "You seem to be both one of her favorite things to talk about and complain about, you little troublemaker."
-
"Well I'm sorry dear, but I'm afraid I must go." He took the book back and put it in his bag. "I'll come find you if I need more help, or if Daina decides Archimedes will be her Valentine."

-
"Anything else? Or just her admiration for me?" He smoothed back his hair.
