Abortion is...?
What do you guys think? I am currently against abortion but I want to look at the argument both ways to see which side is truly right. Long, thought out comments are greatly appreciated.
Edit 1: Although it was kind of implied, is it specifically killing a human being? A woman should be able to do what she wants with her body but is the thing inside of her its own body, therefore having its own rights?
Edit 2: If the fetus has its own DNA, heartbeat, and brainwaves, how is it less than human? Scientific answers and explanations would be greatly appreciated.
Edit 3: If the fetus is human, regardless of what circumstances it will be born into it is entitled by the Constitution to [b]life[/b], liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

How about in a situation that does not include -blam!- or abuse, just don't be a dumb ass and get pregnant. It's really not that hard to avoid.

Can you remember what it was like when you were in your mom's womb!? I sure as hell couldn't and I know you couldn't to so abortion wouldn't hurt the fetus, it's only getting rid of a problem.

1 RespuestaI believe that aborting is ok as long as the baby has not developed enough to have a concience. I say this because every single period is a babies life being denied which counters most arguments against it. If it is acceptable to deny a life like that then i think it should be ok to abort.

Interestingly enough, there is this thing called adoption. If you REALLY can't raise or don't want the kid, out him up for adoption. Once the sperm and egg combine, a kid, if not aborted, will be born. And fun fact: Steve jobs could have been aborted, but his mother refused, and put him up for adoption. Now we are all looking at this forum because of him (assuming we all have iPhones.)

It shouldn't be used as an alternative to a contraceptive, or if the child is just not wanted. But in circumstances where there may be genetic disorders, or the pregnancy was a result of -blam!-, then I have nothing against it if done in the early stages of pregnancy.

Abortion would be illegal if everyone who had a child would be a good parent but that isng the case to be honest it is best to kill the child than to have it be raised by some parents.

2 RespuestasI don't like it. Why kill a baby when it hasn't done anything and can't have a life anymore. If the woman wanted to do it then she or her partner should have had protection instead of having to kill a baby.

Mix of both sides. I don't want to go into too much detail about my POV about abortion because it all boils down to: I'm not a woman, and it's not my choice to decide on what to do with a woman's body.

Yeah, it's acceptable if the parents want an abortion. We're only human, and a natural human impulse is to have sex. And not everyone wants a baby.
