I think it'd be really awesome if there was a destination in Destiny that was an actual forest or a thick jungle. It'd be very interesting to look at and explore. Either that or a snowy planet or perhaps another destination on Earth that is in the high mountains.
Bump if you think this would be cool.
Edit 1: I did see the pre-launch gameplay videos which seemed to show a lot of cut areas in the game. I'm sure we'll see these later in DLC, hopefully anyways. I really hope they make that Europa concept art into an actual location though because it looks awesome.
Edit 2: Star Wars isn't the only Science Fiction franchise to have forest and snow planets. Lol. Just saying. Venus doesn't count as "thick jungle" because there's actually hardly any trees in the explorable areas.
Edit 3: Uchihaltachi899 says: "Id actually prefer a highly urban environment with factions of civilians defending their homes and territories from the darkness and we badass guardians come to help." This is another great idea!
Edit 4: Dakota says: "The other night I was standing in the tower, waiting on a fellow guardian to complete some and on tasks when I stopped and looked down at the city under that traveler and thought.... Why can't we go there? This is the city were trying so hard to protect... Why haven't we had any opportunity to show it? I think it would be cool to at least have one mission where fallen try invading the city and we have to stop it or something. Fighting on streets between large buildings that aren't ruined, that till seem alive with people. Vehicles that haven't rusted to oblivion... Would be neat." I completely agree with this idea and have always thought it'd be awesome to explore the city.

But a larger variety of planets would be nice as well. Would like to see a snow map personally. One that's extremely cold. Surface is mostly snow, always stormy. Random lightning attacks/blizzards. Caves of ice. And would also make for some pretty cool looking enemies based on ice.. Edit:also thinking about a cold planet, brings opportunity for another subclass. Frost. I think some very cool things could be done with that. From slowing enemies down, or even freezing them entirely. Possibilities...

9 RespuestasEditado por PapaSubpar: 10/7/2015 9:58:36 AMThey already have a forested planet in Destiny. It is called Earth. Otherwise there are no forests anywhere else in our solar system. They would have to carry the story out of our own solar system to invent something like the forest moon of endor...also Ewoks suck! Never mind. I see that the OP was just asking for a forested map. Not enough coffee yet

Bump for Endor

3 RespuestasThe forested area in old footage is New Chicago, I believe. Old New York would be sweet. Desolate and damaged urban landscape, partially taken back by nature after Rasputin was forced to bomb the sh#t out of it in an attempt to stop the Fallen.
-
Dense coniferous forest would be saweet. Like the Canadian Rockies? Shooting across the valleys, dayum.

3 RespuestasEditado por Corrick II: 10/4/2015 5:20:28 PMIt's always a great idea but not very practical for multiplayer games unfortunately. You have to have specific sight lines and path widths for multiple players to traverse at once. There are just too many design rules to follow to have a really dense jungle, it's a shame :( I've always wanted to see this too.

I think we should pull an Interstellar, go through a black hole, and kill the Necromongers.

The thing that bothers me about bungie is they could've made this game so much better than what it is.
