If you aren't there, then I have 2 options:
A) wait for more people to get there to get the ammo, risk being killed and losing it.
B) pick it up right away, but no one else on my team gets any.
If the enemies are getting near, I'm not taking my chances defending heavy. It's better for me to pick it up and use it or die than to let the enemies possibly get it and have an advantage for the next minute. I'm sorry if you aren't there when I start seeing red on my radar, But I'm not waiting for a chance of The enemies getting heavy.

I will say it's better in ib. Almost like more ppl understand in it. Regular crucible is a joke. One guy will just snag and run. I will even get to it and point non stop to blow up the feed in case someone's watching it.

Same here. It's the dudes that grab it while nothing but team mates are spawning in around him, desperately in need of a tide changer, that pisses me off.

Now THAT is just stupid. The more players on your team that get heavy, they better the chance you have at winning. If you can wait, it's best to wait for at least half of your team to get heavy (if you're lucky and have a good team you might even get both heavy spawns and lock out the other team)

This. I do hate it when there's people nearby and coming towards the heavy ammo and some dillhole grabs it and runs off (worse if they get killed instantly) but it's true. If the enemy is approaching you and you need it, grab it. I'll be upset but I'll understand too. I'd do the same. Same when I'm about 20 ft away and everyone is already there and grabs it and leaves and I get nothing. Still pisses me off but I understand they can't wait forever and at least most of my team got heavy now.
