Whilst that's true I don't deny that but as I said before communicating is key and vital to completing crota on hard.
I have done it with 30 and 31s and only 1 person had gally not maxed and one had HOC also not maxed..
It can be done with the right communication and team..
All I am saying is that in the beginning to get the gear and weapons you have to play a raid right? Unless you get lucky on the nightfall right?
I get super pissed when people kick you because you have not got those weapons or your a 30 -31...

It's fine to run it with 32s and gally I don't have a problem with that bit I do when all you read on these forums is kick him or I am not carrying a 30 -31 etc etc

You can't complete Crota on hard mode as a 30 unless you sit in the starting room the entire time. A 30 can not even deal damage. Your argument is flawed, as your weapons can determine the entire flow of battle. Being a level below the required already leaves you dealing less and receiving more, then add on having under leveled weapons makes you an even weaker link on the team.

Is it rude really?? I don't remember it stating anywhere that in order for gaurdians to complete the raids on hard then you must be 32 with all maxed out exotic or legendary weapons or else you'll fail !

It's a group level 33 activity. It states that when you select "hard mode". A 31 is a full 2 levels below the activity. It takes 3 head shots to kill a normal thrall at level 31. You can only take half the damage a 32 can take. It's kind of self explanatory. Back when VoG hard first came out, 29's frequently ran through it, just like how 32's are what frequently run CE. A 28 running VoG hard was no help at all. Just like a 31 in CE hard. All I'm saying is that 31's have to be carried by at least 1 32. If you want to be carried, get a friend to do it. Trying to get strangers to do it has fairly obvious results.

I mostly agree. I only lfg for hard on my 32, but 31's aren't the liability you think. My hunter did a hard raid where 4 of us were 31's and only two were 32's and we dropped crota in two swords.

Your 1 example of how exceptional your 31's were does not change my perception of 31's that has been built up for a dozen raids. I totally understand that skill can help you survive, but the only thing I can see when you are in my fireteam is your level, so I make a judgement call based off of that. There is no "skill" indicator in-game.

My point is that our 31's weren't exceptional. Sure i had a gjallarhorn, and I think another did too. But it's the launcher and the swordbearer that made it exceptional. Let's be honest the skill required to kill crota if you aren't running the sword is minimal and 32's can be just as clueless. Now, if the 31 insists on running the sword by all means tell him to screw off.

It's about having the skill necessary to not die. At certain points you have to move around, and some people suck at it.

But 31 is the lvl 29 equivalent. We used to raid vog hard with 29s. For some reason people think you need to be 31+ now to do vog hard

29's are 1 level below the activity in VoG hard. A 32 is 1 level below the activity in CE hard.

29 doing VoG 30 was different, 31 doing Crota 33 takes more damage, needless to say I've done all my HM runs with at least 1 31 in the team and they always make it through and make a difference :)
